Ellen is amazing. We can not recommend her highly enough. We saw three Lactation Consultants and one cranio sacral specialist before we found her, and she was by far, the most helpful to us. We were having challenges with our newborn baby breastfeeding – he was having trouble latching, had a shallow latch which was causing pain, and didn’t have a strong enough suck to get the milk he needed at the breast. It has been a challenging time physically and emotionally, and Ellen has been incredible in guiding us and our baby through finding a better experience with breastfeeding. Her experience is particularly useful in that she is both an excellent and experienced LC and a gifted cranio sacral specialist so you get both elements of her expertise when working with her. Often if you see an LC, they recommend seeing a cranio sacral specialist or visa versa. With her, you get both and amazing things happen in her sessions. It often feels like baby magic is happening when we work with her. Our son has improved greatly since working with her, and we are hopeful he will continue to improve and get stronger as we move forward. We have felt so supported by her through this process, and she checks in to follow up with us regularly with phone calls which is also above and beyond the call of duty. On another positive note, Ellen was the only LC we were able to work with through our health insurance which was a wonderful thing on a financial level. She works with a few health insurance companies so it is worth inquiring if it is possible to get a session covered that way.

We had our baby one month ago and couldn’t get our LO to latch. It was frustrating and disheartening as a new mother to have such a hard time with something as basic as feeding your child.
We were recommended to Ellen by our pediatrician and couldn’t be happier that we took her advice. Using a lactation consultant is the best thing that we ever did. Ellen was very good at her job and taught me how to get a better latch, and to get my LO to latch at all. She gave us all the tools we needed to enable us to feed our baby and it is a relief beyond words.
Ellen is very patient and understanding and really knows what she is doing, I recommend her to anyone who is having even the smallest of issues with breastfeeding their LO.
