Very nice place with loads of different and exotic varieties of olive oils and vinegars. The best thing is you can try them before you buy. All products have the ability to sample. I highly recommend

Great customer service from the sales associate! Everything was great. I enjoyed the oil. Also I enjoyed the vinegar. Lots of options for everything. Almost overwhelming the things you can do with olive oils. Will start using oil on my recipes of eggs and cereal — the extent of my cooking knowledge — to spice things up in my life

What a fabulous addition to a neighborhood dominated by banks, real estate agents and restaurants. A superb and fascinating variety of top-quality oils and vinegars staffed by a helpful and well-informed group of employees who are always ready to share advice and insights and encourage tastings of their products. Along with Ernie’s, the best addition to this neighborhood in years. I’m not even the chef in our household and abhor shopping — but love to visit(and purchase) here… For my own home a for gifts. Yay!!!

For the most part, you can’t go wrong with the products in this shop, but I have now started to taste them each time I buy them, which is what the shopkeeper told me I should do when I called to complain that my second bottle of Toasted Sesame Oil was a much darker brown than the first and tasted burned. I was surprised at the dismissive reaction as I am a loyal repeat customer. I also wrote a critical review of the sesame oil for the Pure Mountain website, which was not posted(after being told it would be). Although I love the products from this store, I have had a number of serious disagreements over the years with the way the company does business.

Cute little shop! Many different flavors and sections to pick from! Salt was good. Bought some Basil & Rosemary olive oil & got a free mini bottle for checking in with my purchase! Great service too:)

Really cute specialty shop that sells olive oils, vinegars, and some other food items. My friend and I were a bit too full from our lunch to sample their many offerings, but we did like that there was such a large variety of things to choose from. I ended up getting a jar of their chimichurri sauce, which is quite literally now chilling in my refrigerator. The employee who helped me purchase my sauce recommended some good applications for it and he managed to package my item with such care, I just couldn’t say no when he asked if I wanted to be added onto their mailing list. I believe they ship their products, too, so if Tarrytown is too far away from you, you can order and have their items brought to you instead.

Possibly the best vinegars I have ever tried. So many to choose from and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth the money. I have recommended this store to many people and have gotten some presents for family as well.

I spent an hour in here. My dad was with me and we tried so many different balsamics and oils. Super fresh and aromatic the olive oil is no joke. Go in and try it out they always have great deals too. I promise you won’t be disappointed. I bought 10 bottles total and I need to go back.

Happened upon this shop after lunch at a nearby diner on a recent Sunday. We were overwhelmed by all the choices of olive oils and balsamics and I love the way customers are encouraged to taste the various flavors,(I just hope they recycle all those little plastic tasting cups! ;-) From chocolate-infused balsamic vinegar to a summery raspberry vinegar to orange and garlic olive oils. I know very, very little of proper, fine pressed olive oil but I think the first rule of a good quality oil is the finger test and whether or not the maker bottles in dark, UV-protected bottles… Pure Mountain seems to pass the test on both. The prices here are a little higher than your average grocery store olive oil; then again, this isn’t your average grocery store olive oil. This appears to be the real deal and a good suit for everyone from the serious, high-end commercial chef to the mere casual stove-top cook like myself. Great place and they take SQUAREAPP for payments; User your phone to pay, grab your back and walk out, it’s as simple as that. We’ll be back!

I have never been to a shop like this — so please take my review with a grain of salt. This place has a wide variety of regular and flavored olive oils. I have not seen many places with flavored olive oils and vinegars, so this was an interesting experience. They have big and small jars for you to take home — I ended up taking home two small jars — basil olive oil and lemon white balsamic vinegar. My friend brought me here specifically for these — she swears the combination makes the best BEST salad dressing EVER. They have small cups for you to try with bread. yum. They give you notecards explaining what you are purchasing and recipes… great service too.

This place is great! Their selection is broad & they encourage tasting. Don’t forget to try the salts with your oil & vinegar– the maple bacon is amazing with the chipotle oil! It may seem a little pricey, but reasonable for the high quality, and they offer discounts from time to time. A great gift idea for foodies!

Visiting this store is a fun experience. They have many types of olive oils, balsamic vinegars, salts, and other products all available to taste. Small cups allow mixing and matching to achieve complex tastes. You may want to sample a mix of chocolate balsamic with chipotle olive oil before buying.
