I love this place. Best fish tacos. Neighborhood feel. If want entertainment outdoors with live music in Eve’s or if want quiet meal or drink you can sit inside. Staff friendly and prices of specials on drinks can’t be beat. However if order whatever you will pay average prices.

My favorite place to go catch live music and get drinks on the weekend. It gets busy, but bar tender Kevin Wharton keeps your glass full all while keeping you laughing! Extremely friendly staff, killer food, and a bad ass bar tender like Kevin make The Original Grill in Tarpon Springs a must go to destination!

The three times I have came since the new management change has been wonderful. They have the live music with great new bands and the food has that consistency back which it was lacking for many years. I went last night with a group and we will be going back defiantly great service, friendly management and the atmosphere is something you can’t get at any of the other places on the docks. Also something I haven’t seen in years the manger came over and introduced herself and gave everyone coupons for next time while letting us know if all the specials for the week. I thought that was cool The next time I went there this past few days was awful the service was wonderful Danielle was very helpful to the situation. The food was so bad we sent it back twice and still they could not get it right wondering even if there’s a manager there because no one was to be found. Oh wait there was one supposedly she had left to be coming back in town. They said they were shortstaffed and the kitchen was overwhelmed. So with a $ 73 tab we left with empty bellies and One of the worst experiences we’ve ever had we definitely will not be back. Too bad they don’t have the same staff as the last time we went. What I recommend this place not to my worst enemy. We had a bad experience two week prior and thought it was just a bad day at the place so we give it another shot too much change since less then a year ago

Decided to go in despite some mixed reviews from awhile ago and I’m so glad we did! We were there on Monday so my husband and I had the BOGO shrimp dinner and they were fresh and delicious! I noticed that they also have all you can eat snow crab on Monday so we will definitely be back with my mom when she comes to visit. We lucked out because since NFL football was on we were able to get oysters for .50 a piece, you can’t beat that deal! And happy hour is all day every day, usually we miss out by the time we get out for dinner but not here! We will DEFINITELY be back asap!

Sad it’s not the old ballyhoos I remember, Last three meals have just been so-so. So it’s consistently good food just not what ballyhoos was. They should make a name for themselves with better food then ballyhoos so they can take down that bait and switch sign that leads customers to believe they are one the previous establishment. I felt cheated when I saw the cheesy«d» glued to the sign.

Why is the original grill still open? They have a trivia night every Tuesday and the last 3 weeks the bartender kicks out 25⁄30 people at 8:30PM because he wants to go home, Don’t have customers show up if you don’t want them? We won’t go back anymore and will NOT go there anymore any night! Bring back the original owners of Bally Hoo, the know how to run a restaurant and treat customers, PS; our local friends had food there recently and after sending it back 3 times gave up, they will never eat there again. Good luck snow birds, just know there are a lot better places to go.

How good is this place? Well my wife & I ate there 4 times this week. Three of the four nights we each had the same thing. I ordered a dozen raw oysters and she ordered shrimp scampi. I would eat my oysters and then finish her scampi. The oysters were from Texas or Louisiana and were fresh & large and served on a bed of ice with horseradish, cocktail sauce, lemon wedges & saltine crackers. Excellent! Their scampi is not your everyday run of the mill little shrimp overwhelmingly smothered with garlic. Instead, they use large shrimp & combine them with artichokes, spinach and linguini in a light garlic sauce served with garlic bread. Absolutely outstanding! My wife & I will make this place a regular stop. The décor is Key West done very tastefully.

Went here for Mother’s Day with the family from both in and out of town. Server was great even though they gave her way too many tables as the staff was spread thin. Everything came out in good order though. I ordered the filet covered in a Brie and red wine/bing cherry reduction… there was way to much brie on the steak as it over powered everything even the cherries. When we brought it up to the manager to let her know she made a big stink about it and became aggressive towards the whole table. She took it off the check(didn’t ask her for that) and then knocked over a glass of wine(which she replaced) and complained about wanting to go home for her Mother’s Day drink. In a nutshell service and food was good(cept for the brie) and the manager chick sucked. All I gotta say was never had a problem with this place when it actually was the original Ballyhoo Grill…

This is one of the places you must visit in Florida. There is indoor and outdoor sitting. Family environment and it’s a lot of fun. From the outdoor sitting you can actually see some of the wild kids water skiing. The good thing is that the water is infested of baby alligators, imagine that! You can actually enjoy your meal and watch the gators staring at you! They have also after 6 pm one or two guitar players that also sing. It is a place to drink a cold beer(or 6) and fried calamari for appetizer is delicious. Of course you should also try the gator tail, soooo yumi!
