Friday arrived around 6:45pm and seated right away. Got the Hotel Steak Sandwich and my wife got the battered fish sandwich. Both were very good and well priced. Total bill including drinks and a salad $ 43.99 I will return, it was delicious.

I stopped in for brunch here while on a leisurely Sunday drive across the Red Belt. I was seriously impressed with the food! The menu is small, and weighted much more toward«br» than«unch,» but it’s quite inexpensive and the portions are massive. I had something called the Bakerstown Frittata, which was a bit under 9 bucks and had three eggs with mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, bacon and sausage, with shredded Parmesan cheese on top. It was served in a heavy skillet with thick, hearty slices of toast. It was totally delicious. The service was just right — I clocked, in my hour at the restaurant, no less than five refills of my coffee. I will definitely be back to check this place out for dinner. If you’re looking for a welcoming brunch experience outside the city limits, trek up north and hit Zottola’s. Worth every penny and more.

I have never eaten at this establishment, but I can tell you one thing: When there is a sign posted that reads: «Open until 2pm on Easter Sunday», it means that when you walk in at noon and ask about the menu and what time they close, and they say, «Here is the menu, and we close at 2pm,» what they actually mean is: «When the customer comes back at 1:15pm asking to be seated for lunch, we will turn them away and tell them that the menu we offered one hour before is not available.» What kind of way is this to run a business? Lying to the customer is not a viable long-term business plan. If you plan to stay open during a holiday, keep your promises.

Had brunch at Zottola’s on sunday — as I recently moved to the area from NYC I had low expectations for the few brunch places I could find. But this place was perfect — wait service was super friendly, the choices were great, the food was outstanding and we were super surprised by the desserts. To top it all off the owner/chef even stopped by our table to say hi. Such a nice touch. Can’t wait to check this place out in the summer when they have the outdoor barbeque. A true find!

While traveling through the area, we stopped at Zottola’s for dinner on Sun Aug 29. The food is very good and fresh — the restaurant prides itself on buying locally and home cooking nearly everything(and, possibly, everything) they serve. All three entrees we tried — chicken alfedo, mussels in a garlic cream sauce, and meatloaf — were very good. The house salads were yummy and fresh. The draft beer was excellent. Only downside: service isn’t super speedy, so count on taking time for a leisurely meal. Zottola’s deserves respect — and lots of return business — for their inventive menu, very reasonable prices, attentive service, and attention to detail.
