This is a little charmer of a shop on Bent Street that you might miss because of it’s size and location. If you’re in town, it’s worth the concerted effort to find as C+C is a haven of loveliness! Where do I begin? One can literally find cashmere in every muted, bright and in-between color of the rainbow in socks, scarves, wraps, shawls, gloves, hats, etc. Whether you’re a lover of the palest pink or the boldest blue, there is a hue of the rainbow for you to fall for at Chocolate and Cashmere. The story of the shop is just as lovely-single mother puts an advertisement for cashmere hats in the New Yorker and grows her business to two shops in Taos and Santa Fe where everything is made nearby. You can tell each item is made with care, and the fact that products are local and reasonably priced is the icing on the cake. And don’t even get me started on the chocolates. I’d recommend a favorite flavor, but each is divine in its very own way. I think the most telling is that I’ve been back once since my initial purchase of 6 chocolates and a multi-colored scarf and plan to stop into the Santa Fe store when we visit tomorrow! Chocolate + Cashmere is a true delight and would stand out as much in a larger city as it does the small town of Taos.

Stopped here as I was passing through town and it was a balm to my traveling soul after days of driving. Beautiful store to delight the senses. Warm and friendly place to find something special or to simply browse and admire. Nice quality items. Apparently, all cashmere(Golightly Cashmere) is knitted in/near Taos. Had not planned to get anything, but I found a beautiful lilac poncho here that I will love forever. Thank you c+c!

The Chokla chocolate are delicious! The very nice owner told us about all their chocolates, and helped us pick out a small box that would fit our preferences. We visited this place at the height of the summer, so we didn’t spend much time looking at the cashmere. And we had to eat those chocolates quickly.

My sister recommended we visit this place because we share a love of chocolate and fiber — she was spot-on with her suggestion! I had to have a piece of the Basil Lime chocolate(yum!) and touch the soft hats and baby sweaters. This was a fun store and I hope it does well in Taos because I’d love to come back for more chocolate in the spring.

Just had the most extraordinary experience meeting Karoline at Chocolate + Cashmere. She gave me a tour of their extraordinary lines… which includes lots of fingerless gloves, in the most extraordinary jewel tone colors, for those who love those. It’s gorgeous. Their materials feel unbelievable. You can tell they are made with love, and even better — locally in Taos. Their chocolates are made by a Spanish-born chocolatier, using Venezuelan chocolate… They are extraordinary. In the European-style. And in extraordinarily unique flavors.
