High Elevations Bar & Restaurant

Year after year this place has been consistently good (no need to wonder where we should eat). Wings are good, staff is nice, dining is casual & never had to wait. I would recommend it to anyone & I’ll always keep going back!

We stopped here for a quick dinner after visiting some relatives. The building is nice, it has a nice woodsy atmosphere. The server we had was friendly. We ordered their mozzerella sticks which the waitress told us was one of their signature appetizers and she said they were really good. I ordered the Penne Marinara with a house salad and creamy garlic dressing. When the mozzerella sticks arrived, they were burnt. Seems disappointing when the appetizer your server raved about arrives burnt, especially when it is the restaurants signature appetizer. Despite being burnt, they tasted ok. Then my salad came and this «creamy garlic» dressing was not a dressing at all. I couldn’t even pour it out of the cup they gave it to me in. It was a dip, not a dressing. It had a great flavor and the salad was fresh and crisp… but I wish I had gotten dressing. The Penne Marinara arrived and I was impressed by the plating. For a bar/​restaurant, it was quite nice, and a large portion too! The penne was cooked well but the marinara was a disappointment. It was very watery (not chunky like the menu claimed) and tasted a lot like ketchup with italian seasoning. My boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and bbq sauce with a side of french fries. His burger was ok but the waitress forgot the bbq sauce. He didn’t mind much but for a restaurant with only two tables seated, I have no idea how you forget the bbq sauce. His fries were nice potato wedges but lacked flavor almost entirely. Not bad if you threw some salt and pepper on them though. All that being said, I don’t think I’d go back for food but I’d probably hang out and have a few drinks.

A good place to meet after a day of swimming or skiing (or in my case tubing). Casual atmosphere and good reasonably priced food.
