Zaxby’s

Very slow, always. Never friendly. Food is the reason I gave it two stars. They have good tenders and cheese curds. If you want fast and friendly not the place. Also never open, hours are so short also website hours are incorrect so you show up and it’s closed how freaking unhelpful.

Boooooo… What fast food place doesn’t have just a plain chocolate milk shake??? Why do they have to add a cookie to the mix. There are only 3 flavored shakes and they seem ok. The chicken is lightly breaded and tasty. But the drive thru window looks hurt. The sliding glass door needs a serious cleaning. Doesn’t make the feeling your getting great quality food when the first impression is a greasy, dirty window. Overall food was ok. Crinkle fries had good seasoning and the sauce that came with the chicken fit well.

I won’t be returning. Came in on lunch. The cashier ordered me the wrong food then looked at me like I was an idiot when I came back up and mentioned it to them. Finally get my order after 20-​some minutes waiting and realize it’s the wrong food, exactly what I had told the cashier that I hadn’t ordered. Waited another 10 minutes and finally just asked for a refund because I don’t have time on a lunch break to deal with that much BS.

Hands down, this is worst Zaxbys I have been in and to! It’s older and dirty and the soda machine had zero ice and I watched 3 patrons tell the non uniformed, air head of a woman cashier that and still not one of those miserable employees did anything about it! Overcooked chicken strips and dirty tables. It seems like this location has more drive-​thru service than sit down. I don’t know what else to say about this craphole! It looks nice from the outside but a dump inside and to be servicing rotten lemons for your patrons ice tea is so ghetto trash low-​life mentality that you people suck! I will continue to frequent good olé’ Zaxby’s, just not this location, ever again!

I used to like Zaxby’s. Their chicken tenders, fries, burgers, and salads were pretty delicious. I went there recently and found out that they charge you for ketchup and other sauces. This a disgrace in my opinion. I asked them about it and the manager said that «the water is still free.» Shocking.

Food was okay. But, expensive for what you get.
Staff leaves a lot to be desired. Seems like they hire the best for the least amount of money. Bathrooms were clean. Had some dirty tables that needed to be cleaned. I don’t think I will be back.

Zaxby’s is a nice change of pace from your typical «chicken chain». Quality food fast at a reasonable price… And you can’t beat their Zax sauce! Give them a shot if you already haven’t!

Man just a great place to grab up some chicken fingers. Tons of crinkle fries, Texas toast and the Zax sauce is delectable. I usually get the chicken finger platter and you can upsize it to get more fries and fingers. A little known secret is the chicken wings. The best teriyaki wings I’ve tasted. Now in comparison, I feel you get more food at a cheaper price at Zaxbys than you get at PDQ’s. The Zax sauce trumps any of the sauces at PDQ as well. I really liked the Fanta cherry but now they have one of those all in one machines that pretty much suck. It’s a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things. Good chicken, give it a try.

Recently, several colleagues and I went to this Zaxby’s on Waters for lunch. Since most of us are first timers to Zaxby’s, we ordered a bunch of different things to try out. Verdict: everyone loves the food esp. the Nibblerz, Cajun Clubs, spicy fried mushroom, and even the crinkle fries and macadamia cookies. The crinkle fries in particular are so much more superior than those of other fast food restaurants. Definitely a great place for some quality fast food! We will be back.

My first experience with Zaxby’s was after leaving the final round of The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. I was really hungry, but didn’t want to sit down at any of the casual dining restaurants near Augusta National Golf Club as I needed to make the drive back to Atlanta as fast as possible.
I remember that Zaxby’s experience fondly, but I have yet to duplicate it at this location here in Tampa and have pretty much given up on ever coming here again after my most recent visit.
For about the same price or less, I can do much better for chicken in a fast-​food setting at PDQ and receive a better product in a shorter amount of time.
Besides, the wonderful Saigon Deli is right behind this Zaxby’s and they’re fantastic, friendly and a much better option if I’m in the area.

Zaxby’s is one of the better choices for fast-​food in my opinion. The staff at this location leaves much to be desired, but the food is up to the chain’s standards.
The chicken finger plate is my usual order. It comes with chicken fingers, seasoned crinkle fries, coleslaw, and a piece of garlic bread. You also can choose a sauce to go with your chicken. The chicken is always very tender and the seasoning on the fries is great. I’ve also enjoyed the fried white cheddar bites as a side. I’ve never had it, but there’s a birthday cake milkshake on the menu that sounds delicious. Plus as an added bonus, you get a card for a free Chicken Nibbler on your birthday if you sign up for their mailing list!
It might not be the healthiest option (unless you get a Zalad with no chicken and no dressing.), but Zaxby’s sure does taste pretty good!

First time trying this place. The restaurant was clean and there were many to go orders coming in and out of the door. My friend and myself both had the chicken wings and chicken fingers with fries and celery. The chicken fingers were delicious! Moist, tender and not greasy. The chicken wings were less than desireable. They were small, greasy and the sauce (hot) wasn’t tasty at all. I would give the wings a 0 but can’t. The fries were average but a bit salty for my taste. The toasted bread was good as was the crisp celery. Their signature sauces were, lack luster at best. It was $ 25.00 for both of us which is on the steep side for this quality food. I think a better choice would definitely be Chick-​a– filet!

I had never heard of this place until last year. Since then I have gone back & still received the same nice and fast service. Southern Georgia hospitality. The food is amazing and is always fresh, a plus since most times it’s reheated or left out too long in other fast food restaurants. Best Ice, chicken and the mozzarella bites are amazing too. If you’re in the area give it a try it won’t disappoint.

Most disgusting wings I have ever had in my life! Totally nasty! I have the worst stomach ache in the world now. They don’t even have blue cheese dipping sauce, WTF?!

I was very disappointed in this place. They messed up my order 2 – 3 times and I kept having to go back. My meal was kind of cold, the coleslaw was warm like it has been sitting out for awhile, French fries were soggy, chicken tenders were pretty good, onion rings overdone. Overall I just felt like this was a bad experience. Maybe it was just the day because it was super busy, that doesn’t excuse them but I will give them another try and update my review then.

I got the wings and the white cheddar cheese bites. Both were good. I got take out, but the restaurant seemed to be very clean. The employees were nice as well. Will be back to try more of their chicken. I also noticed they have Otis spunkmeyer cookies but did not get any.

I lived in Atlanta for 16 years and I have been to Zaxby’s several times. My friends that went to UGA in Athens, GA love this place. I think they have a good quality product, and generally speaking a clean environment. I tried the location on Waters and Dale Mabry and the product is consistent.
They have a plate called Wings and Things. I supersized it and had a bunch of wings, chicken tenders, French fries, celery and Texas toast. I paid around $ 10 and it was definitely a lot of food. The chicken tenders were excellent!!! great flavor, moist and… well, tender. The chicken wings were really good, they have 9 different flavors and I went with the Tongue torch, equivalent to a Buffalo sauce. I’d have them again.
French fries… good, toast… good.
In an objective review I would give them 4 stars. I believe the price for the wings is more consistent with that of a larger restaurant where you get full service; although they make an effort to have a nice décor inside, it’s really a fast food restaurant.
Now…what’s up with that poster at the entrance of the Serengeti in Africa and a feline violently biting into a Zebra? I thought that was a little disturbing. My ex is vegetarian and I used to go with her to Zaxby’s and she would have a grilled cheese. If she would have gotten to this store we would have had to turn around and look for some other place. This is an opinion and a very personal judgment that might not affect other customers.
I would recommend their chicken tenders and their wings, and I can see myself at the Drive Thru picking some up again.

I LOVE me some Zaxby’s Zalads. Their House Zalad is fantastic, with cucumber, tomato and crispy onion, it makes for 2 delicious meals. Add to that some zesty fried mushrooms and life is good!
The seasoning on their fries is perhaps the best around — though I’ve noticed that Universal uses something very similar!

Zaxby’s is a southern fast-​food chicken joint that specializes in zesty fresh chicken wings, strips, salads, sandwiches and so on. Founded in Statesboro, Georgia back in the 90s, Zaxby’s has expanded to locations in about a dozen states around the southeastern US.
They have a bunch of different sandwich baskets and meal deals, but I always equate Zaxby’s with spicy chicken wings and boneless strips. The chicken meat is cut fresh off the bird and served as boneless chicken strips, instead of being pressed into little… ummmmm…nuggets. The wings are then seasoned according to your taste and served with a variety of dipping sauces. You can also order fries, onion rings, fried mushrooms, a side salad, and Texas toast as sides.
Oh, and please don’t forget the amazing milkshakes and «dessert drinks» which you’ll see advertised on TV in between the commercials for their chicken salads.
Yeah, you’re probably gonna blow your entire caloric intake for the month in one sitting, but the food is mighty tasty, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. Go ahead, we won’t tell if you cheat on your diet!

The food here is edible, but unimpressive. I really don’t know what else I can say about the place.
I did hear «Let the Rhythm Hit ‘Em» by Eric B. & Rakim playing thru their PA system while I was eating though. That was the high point of my meal.
