Terrible management. Not the first time I had to go into the parking lot to get my own cart. No hand baskets anywhere. 630pm on a Saturday night with only one lane open. All self checkout lanes were flashing for approvals with no one coming. Each with about 5 people waiting. We Waited 30 minutes just to check out. There was about 4 self checkout lanes closed. Not worth the savings.

I hate going to Walmart and I avoid it at all costs. This Neighborhood Market is better than the one near my house(Florida Ave) and was empty even at noon on a Sunday. The store wasn’t in great condition but it’s on par for Walmart standards. The bakery puts out cookies for shoppers to eat while they shop. I thought that was cool since I’ve never seen that at any other Walmarts. We picked up some groceries and used the self checkout line to get out faster. It was less painful than your usual experience so it wouldn’t be horrible if I had to go back. But keep in mind that it’s still a Walmart.

I’m not a fan of Walmart, nor am I a fan of the brainless creatures that roam their aisles. Nonetheless, I recognize that Walmart has a place in the community, and will continue to pray for the lost souls who choose to shop there. This particular Walmart is fairly new, and it is being marketed as a 24-hour Walmart Neighborhood Market. Which in English means that it is a refurbished grocery store that carries a lot of low-end private label food stuffs, and caters to a certain quality of individuals who can’t seem to keep their jeans pulled up as well as those who feel it is appropriate to be out in public wearing their pajamas and hair curlers. I remember stopping in this store a few times when they were a Sweetbay Supermarket, and thinking to myself that a little soap and water and elbow grease could easily transform the store into a decent mid-range grocery store. Now I am thinking that a couple of gallons of degreaser, a fire hose, and the HazMat team would be a good start. It was my plan to pop in and pick up a bag of salad mix and some fresh fruit, but after seeing the condition and quality of the food I decided to drive the extra mile to Publix rather than face the possibility of some violent intestinal disorder. You’ll find this Neighborhood Market located on Gunn Highway near the intersection of Casey Road. It’s in the same shopping center as Buckets Bar & Grill. Thankfully there is an emergency medical clinic in this same shopping center. No thanks… any place where my feet stick to the floor is no bueno.

I came here a few days after grand opening and won’t be back. For being brand new you’d think it would be clean. This was a sweet bay that had been closed for awhile. Everything about this store is nasty. Dirty, display items block the flow making me crazy! Zombie like walcreatures that don’t know how to walk and shop. Only positive is self checkout but give me publix any day over the nastiness of this walmart any day!
