Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel

Drive up, park, wait…3 valleys chatting, nobody comes near. Left the key in the ignition and strolled up to front desk. Waiting 15 minutes, one guy is working others come up behind the counter, do something and slip away — everyone avoids eye contact.
Got a room — ok — not too bad.
Hanging out with bunch of colleagues in the reception room (12am) on the 6^th floor — got yelled at and threatened with jail time by Hotel Security. Overall, had a great time at the business conference — Sheraton Riverwalk succeeded at making me feel like a snotty young punk, again — priceless memories.
Another novelty — Cash Only Bar with no receipts issued… hmm…
All and all, there are a bunch of great/​courteous people working there, however they are all overshadowed by a healthy number of bad apples.

Staying here for a wedding. Although the hotel lobby is very nice, the room itself is not clean at all. The carpet is stained and hasn’t been vacuumed in a very long time. I walked around barefoot then when I got in the shower the water was black from my feet! Ew! The counter and desktops are all grimy and underneath the protective glass there is something sticky and gross. The bathroom is respectably clean, although again, just barely. I’m a little grossed out. Also, we can hear our neighbors so clearly. those are the cons. The pros: Really nice staff, they had a little snafu locating my reservation but were very professional, courteous, and apologetic for the time it took to clear up, the bells boys and welcome staff were great, and the housekeeping was friendly. We haven’t eaten at any of the restaurants or anything, but they seem decent enough. The pool is unimpressive, and I wouldn’t swim in it, but it has a nice view, and there were lots of people laying around in the sun today. All in all, not the worst place I’ve stayed, but definitely far from the best. I probably wouldn’t stay here again though, because I hate dirty hotel rooms, and this one is DEFINITELY dirty.

Great comfortable hotel, staff very friendly from bell boy, parking attendant, housekeeping, and check in. WenT to the conference walking distance

Reliable inexpensive and clean. No problems, no miracles, cheap cab to Ybor. would stsy again if the situation dictated.
