I frequent this location for purchases for myself when I need a nice pant suit, blouse or just some casual shorts. Salvation Army always comes through for my self needs. They have a variety of clothing, shoes, jewelry, furniture, books etc. Although, I have never purchased shoes from here, they tend to have a decent selection on dress shoes for men and women. I have never browsed the children’s section, so I can’t comment on that. Pricing is OK, I think the furniture and jewelry is a little overpriced. However, Wednesday is family day and clothing, jewelry, shoes etc is half off.(Not furniture). Doors open at 9am make sure you get there early or else you are going to be in a world of trouble. Go check it out… Happy Thrifting

We just moved here from California, where I am soo spoiled with thousands of selections of thrift stores. Trying to find my way here in the Tampa area, and I must say that I was very impressed with the quality, price, and size of the store. and of course, the inventory was amazing! I found a lot of designer labels, priced fairly, and of course go on Wednesday s to receive 50% off. The employees were very friendly and cared about the store, picking up odds and ends, helping people find items, and managing the dressing room line because it was crazy —(½ off day) great job! Definitely going back on Wednesdays :)

GOHEREONWEDNESDAYS. that is all. Well, not really. This place is a hit or miss. I usually always find something I don’t need for my house or whatever. The clothes are also organized by size which makes things easier Sometimes you can find really good furniture too!

First time at this store and it was very busy at 2pm! I have to agree with the previous posts the furniture is over priced! I can buy some similar new items for the same price. I did find the store to be very clean and the staff was extremely polite and nice.

Everything is just way overpriced. I had just come from another store where I had purchased 2 brand new rugs(one large, one small) for $ 12.99. At this Salvation Army store they were selling one small used rug for $ 6.99(see my pictures). That just doesn’t make any sense — especially because everything is given to them through donations. You can get better deals on new items at other stores if you shop sales and use coupons.

Screw this place!!! The pickup people are rude as heck and repeatedly refuse to help me carry the stuff that I am donating. Every time: no hello, no thanks, no offering to help ATALL. There were at least five grown men standing around doing nothing. If the roles were reversed and I were working there, I would at least help them drop off their donations and I probably have only half the strength. This has happened every visit and I always think maybe it will be different this time… I just don’t understand what they have against me or if they are that way with everyone. Chivalry is dead. Give your unwanted items to a different charity that actually knows how to treat people. What a horrible branch of SA. You make the organization look really bad!

Way better and less expensive than goodwill or boutique thrift stores. Very organized neat n clean. Lots of helpful friendly staff. New stuff all the time! Just love it!

Probably the largest Thrift Store in town, esp. after the closing of another SA store also on N. Nebraska. This has a very deep inventory of clothing, furniture and appliances. Most are at very low prices, and half-off on some days, other items are initially overpriced for 2nd hand but prices drop and become more negotiable as items sit unsold. So Thrifts are a very pure form of supply-demand economics, and N. Nebraska Avenue is well supplied with such laboratories of economic realities.

On nearly every Wednesday I head over to the Salvation Army for 50% off all clothing. My husband likes to get new t-shirts, and on Wednesdays men’s shirts come out to be 50 cents each! I prefer dresses myself, and I always manage to find a few cute, summery numbers mixed in with the floor-length florals and black velvet, shoulder-padded gowns. This location of the Salvation Army has a lot going for it. The space is HUGE. I have been to a lot of thrift stores, and this is one of the largest. Half the store is filled with adult clothing racks, about 1⁄3 men’s and 2⁄3 women’s clothes. The other half of the store is split into furniture, children’s clothes, brick-a-brack, and electronics. If you are looking for like-new furniture, this store is stocked full! I have never seen a thrift store with such a great selection of second-hand pieces, and they consistently have everything from bedroom sets and sofas to dining room tables and accent chairs. The prices on furniture are definitely higher than what I usually expect from a thrift store. Unfortunately, the store is incredibly disorganized. Clothing is organized by color, not by size. Forget about trying to grab a pair of thrifted jeans – you will be staring at three racks holding a massive mess of pants, and to find your size you have to go through every pair and check the tags, On Wednesdays there is always a line of women waiting for the four dressing rooms to open up, but with each customer dragging a pile of 30+ articles of clothing into the changing room, it is a long wait. The large signs on the dressing room doors of «5 articles of clothing at one time» and«no carts allowed in the dressing room» go widely ignored, keeping available carts for new shoppers to a minimum and dressing rooms occupied for 20 minutes at a time. If you don’t mind rummaging and standing in line, there are many good finds at this Salvation Army.

Right now this is one of my favorite places to go thrifting. Wednesday and Saturdays are the best days to go because they are half off. Since I do t-shirt reconstruction, I make my way over here and can easily nab about 20 shirts for under 25 bucks. And I’m not talking cheap looking hand-me-downs, but really neat stuff. A lot of people are surprised at the great finds I’ve found here. About half of my favorite band t-shirts I’ve found here. If you have the patience to shift through the store a bit, you can find some gems. I’ve also been able to find some rare cds and vinyl here. The only downside is it can be a little disorganized and messy at times, even on days when it’s not all that busy.
