Do yourself a favor and ask for Antonia with the music massage. What? Incredible — best massage I’ve ever had.

Overall the Rock Spa is a relaxing environment with unique services. I thoroughly enjoyed the Wrap Session. It includes a 50-min. all-natural in-house made scrub, and a 2 min facial(2 min. is not a typo). After the scrub, you go back to the locker room to shower, the shower is followed by a 50 min. massage. During the entire session, rock music is playing underneath and above the table. The vibrations can be felt through the sub-woofers beneath the table. It was super relaxing. What I loved: The synchronized rock music, all-natural products, ambience. What I liked: I’ve had much better massages, but the music made this massage feel better. I took advantage of the jacuzzi & steam room, but I wished they were separate from the locker room(too much traffic), the quiet room wasn’t that quiet or relaxing. What I hated: My spa service was a gift from my husband, he called and made the reservations and gave them his credit card number ahead of time, but when I checked out, they said it’s no way to charge his card, that they only took his information for cancellation purposes. So when I said treat this like a cancellation, I got blank stares. I ended up paying for my own birthday spa service, because I got tired of going back and forth. I personally did not like how that was handled. Also, I parked in the south garage, so I ended up walking through the casino and my hair wreaked of smoke. I’m so not a casino fan. I will probably stick to a conventional spa next time.

It’s a rainy day special and they’re giving full hour massage for $ 40 for a fullbody massage. Lots of natural oils and alternative treatments are offered as well as facial peels and steam treatment. If you are a regular customer you can get good deals that are not listed on the menu like this. They do full manicure and pedicure services for $ 40. They also offer reflexology and treatment for trigger point pain. The juice bar uses fresh fruit and exotic juices to create fantastic healthy cocktails. This is the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon or a way to ignore the noise of the casino because the Hard Rock is always rockin

Unfortunately, although they claim to be the best spa in Tampa, they are not. My husband decided to treat us to massages here for our anniversary. We have had couple massages at the Grand in Tampa, the Ritz, Waldorf Astoria, and other places that claim to be the best. The first line of the Hard Rock spa’s brochure states that it offers«a tropical poolside paradise.» When my husband made the reservations he confirmed this and figured that drinks in their poolside paradise would make up for the fact that they don’ t offer«couple massages.» But when we checked in at the Rock Spa a week later, they told us that no, «spa guests are no longer allowed to go to the pool unless they are also hotel guests.» So that sucks but we went and grabbed a bite and a drink and came back early to enjoy the sauna before our massages. The sauna was very nice. When I was waiting to be taken back I noticed that a few of the staff members were sneezing, snorting and coughing and making comments to each other about it. I had bee sick two weeks before and knew there was a nasty virus going around. My massage started really well, but then after five minutes Staci started hacking up a lung. She apologized and said it was allergies because she would not dare come to give a massage sick. She moved to my feet and could not stop coughing. I sat up and told her that maybe should get some water. She apologized, excused herself, and left the room for about five minutes. She came back, said she knew this wasn’t relaxing but she would add the five minutes to the end of my massage and proceeded to continue to give me a massage with both hands while I could hear continue to cough. Well, she was right, it was not relaxing. It certainly was not worth $ 105. To make matters worse, she spread whatever she had to me, so I got a crappy massage and another virus. By the way, the reason they don’t do couples massages is because the rooms are tiny. Be advised that the treatment rooms also smell like smoke.
