I scheduled an appointment a week and a half in advance. They said they would be there between 9−1p. No one ever showed up or called. I called the company and they said the technician didn’t come to work and didn’t notify anyone. I rescheduled, since I wanted to use my groupon deal. They arrived early but the guy didn’t wear covers over his shoes and the carpet doesn’t look any different. I could have rented the Rug Doctor and did a better job. Giving it a one star because the guy was nice.

I’ve used them before and will shy away from the big named cleaners — they all want to add on stuff to drive up the cost… use islanders carpet care — try to find little companies who care about their business and do a good job.

WORSTSERVICEEVER! I am sticking to and I do not work for them or stand to gain any financial gain for mentioning that. It’s just that I think it’s worth mentioning that when you have had caviar, it’s impossible to accept dog food. Pro Carpet sends a slightly older than 17 year old to clean over 800 square feet. The tech tries to swindle me right upon arrival into paying an additional $ 175 on top of groupon payment I already made for $ 49(for 5 rooms). I should have known that even though it’s not written anywhere on groupon’s fine print, this sleezy company would basicly use a rug doctor machine and wash my floors with water(no hint, appearance or smell of any detergent) at that price. The groupon low price was only bait. Since I am having the carpet downstairs and on the stairs replaced with laminate soon, I just wanted it cleaned properly until replaced and wouldn’t you know, after I explained this politely and thoroughly to the tech 4 times {since he wouldn’t take no for an answer the first time) in declining his proposed $ 175 rippoff scam he was trying to collect for«deep cleaning», he was sure to teach me a lesson for declining by not using ANY detergent and of course my carpet looks exactly the same as it did before he step foot in my house, stains and all. Oh and get this; he charged me an additional $ 22 to water vac my small hallway too that was suppose to be included in the package. He completed the water vacuuming of over 800 sq feet in 20 mins; without moving or reaching under any furniture and he made my stairs and family room(200 sq feet) count as two rooms. When he stated my average size formal dining(11.5×16.5) was two rooms, I had to count that room out and didn’t get it cleaned unless of I paid extra. What a way to start my new year with my first slime bag contractor. This wasn’t even a «get what you pay for» right-off for me; more like a «shoulda checked Unilocal, google, etc. first before completely burning $ 71»…live and learn…

As far as carpet cleaning experiences go, this was about as good as you can get. When I first called to schedule the appointment on a Tuesday, I received excellent customer service. I got the exact time and day I requested and they even followed up with a phone call and email reminder. The email also included tips on what to do before the tech arrives, and what to do once they leave. The tech(Micah) arrived right on time and was super nice and personable. He made sure we knew exactly how to take care of everything once he was done cleaning. And he did an absolutely amazing job, which is really the most important part, right? We added on the disinfectant/deodorizer which was definitely worth every penny. We have 3 dogs so you can imagine what the carpet looked like before he got his hands on it. Now it looks and smells like a brand new place. I would recommend this company to everyone, and I will be coming back to them in a few months after my dogs make the place a mess again.

Considering the GODAWFUL service from Pro Carpet, I’m surprised their Tampa Unilocal page is review-free. If you go to their Marietta, GA page you’ll see that they have 3 reviews shown and 25 filtered that you have to unhide. Most of them are not good reviews and for a very good reason. I received several coupons in the mail for carpet cleaning-one of which was for Pro Carpet. Since having carpet is a relatively new concept for me I didn’t want to drop a small fortune on having my carpet cleaned for the first time without knowing how I would feel about the company. Pro Carpet seemed promising enough so I scheduled a basic carpet cleaning for my entire apartment and added on a tile and grout cleaning for my kitchen/bathroom/laundry room areas. I provided all the necessary information, INCLUDING telling them I had no readily available access to a water spout or guaranteed close range parking. They made no fuss about this. My appointment was scheduled for a Friday for the afternoon, and the technician was supposed to arrive between 3:00 — 5:00pm. I followed the instructions to vacuum my carpet, sweep my tile, and remove any and all items off the floor since the technicians would not move or lift anything. I had to practically empty my apartment onto my porch because I wanted a thorough job done. By 5:15pm the technician called to tell me he was 30 – 45 minutes away. No apologies for the delay. I called the company and kicked up a storm, they offered me 10% off. The technician didn’t show up until 6:45pm. At this point I was beyond furious. I had cancelled clients for the day and spent my time anchored to my apartment waiting for this person instead of running essential errands pertinent for my clients the next day. I voiced my displeasure with the technician and he said it wasn’t his fault, the place he had been at before ran over time. Fine, I wasn’t in the mood to argue. I showed him the problem spots I had, one in the living room, and a few in the second bedroom. He told me that these needed to be treated with the extra deep cleaning service. I relented. How much extra could that cost? Now he tells me he needs a water spout to hook up the tile and grout cleaning. I told him I had made it known I didn’t have access to one. Now he expects ME to move my washing machine so he can connect to its water source. Are you serious? So I told him forget it, I’d clean my own grout and tile. He brought in a machine that looked like a slightly larger version of the Rug Doctor you can rent at your local supermarket and proceeded to slosh a water bucket back and forth between his machine in my entryway and my hall bathroom. It took him all of 30 minutes to do the entire apartment(he didn’t even bother to do the closets even though my package was for 7 rooms and 2 hallways and he only cleaned 4 rooms and one hallway. I inspected the apartment and pointed out the stain in the living room that was still present. He insisted that the spot was from an ink pen and he did the best he could. Both of these were lies. The spot was from black pencil eyeliner which I know for a fact would come out. As for him doing the best he could? He used the exact same tool on the stain that he used on the rest of the house, he just went over the spot an extra pass. For the deep cleaning service I was expecting some sort of extra strength solution not what he did. With my cute 10% discount, my total came to $ 175. WHAT?! I was originally signed up for a $ 85 package! Well the«deep cleaning» is charged PER area. I wasn’t about to argue with the man since I was already agitated and just wanted him gone. I paid the bill and sent him on his way. Was the carpet clean? Not really. It looked virtually the same. Even the stains were still faintly present. Considering my appointment was on 06⁄01 I would say it had ample time to sink in or whatever nonsense they’ll claim for it not working. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE. I’m sure if I called and complained they would offer me some discount or coupon but I have no interest in EVER having them step foot in my home again so the point is moot. I’m out an extra $ 90 and nothing to really show for it. I would have been better off renting a Rug Doctor and doing it myself. At least then if I was dissatisfied, I would have nobody to blame for the poor service except myself.
