Is there even a need to visit Japan?
From someone that knows how difficult it is to have items shipped direct from Japan, Pop Cult it extremely convenient.
Pop Cult has a mix of all the hits that any Japan enthusiast is searching for; Sanrio, Ghibli, Pokemon, J-​pop, K-​pop, and even onesies. Talking about onesies— they have them for only a few dollars more than they cost at Don Quijote Japan!
The store location inside International Mall has replaced the old Sanrio storefront. Prices are not as high as I have seen at other places. My only complaints are; the store is messy, not organized very well. And, there are too many people hanging out, friends of employees behind the register and random «customers» just standing around.

This place was like a wonderland for me when i first went in. I loved it and i promised myself i would come back when i get paid. Sadly, when i did go back to spend money i was left upset with the service. Both girls were on their phones the whole entire time. They didn’t look up when i went in and they didn’t even smile when i went to pay. I bought a cute star wars bag and was super excited about it. One girl behind the counter was playing games on her phone while the other was texting. They both seemed like they didn’t want anyone there. I never felt this way in a store before. I hate to say that it ruined my view of the store. I rather get my things online.

A geek’s dream!
I’m not even that nerdy but I was feeling some nostalgic over some of the items I saw (haven’t seen Sailor Moon stuff in a store in like 15 years… except Hot Topic). And this is better than Hot Topic! It’s like the geeky stuff from Hot Topic without the hassle of goth clothes and loud music. The employee was very helpful in recommending things and obviously knew her stuff as far as items and characters. If you like animé stuff or Japanese culture stuff or superhero stuff or video game stuff, you’ll find something here to add to your collection.

Pop Cult is a Japonisme animé and pop culture collectibles store. Hello Kitty, super hero themed gear, and Sesame St. figurines. It’s somewhat like a Hot Topic but more animé focused. They also sell Pocky in various flavors (chocolate, matcha and strawberry etc. dipped sticks) as well as an assortment of gummies. Most of the doodads are made in China. An interesting browse. Def for the animé and pop culture fan geek nerd peeps.
