Delicious, delicious, delicious! So bummed they closed the one on Dale Mabry. I had many many dinners at this place. Authentic cuisine. Love it!

This place is hit or miss. 1 day it’s great others it’s bland and lacks the flavor you desire. Still 3 star for when everything’s on point. I’ll be back again.

I had the pork stew with rice and black beans. Very tasty. Others had cubans and all seemed to like them. Very pleasant service. Clean and pleasant atmosphere.

I travel from North Pinellas just to visit Pipos. This is a fav and now serving breakfast, pancakes, sausages, bacon, egg sandwiches, home fries. I love the crab cakes and stuffed potatoes and café con leche, of course. Quality is consistent. They always offer specials of the day: stuffed peppers; roast chicken, beef stew and more. This is cafeteria style. Enjoy their great Cuban sandwiches ! This is the real deal in authentic Cuban food and very reasonably priced!

Love love love the arroz con pollo. The food is always flavorful and the staff is friendly. Parking is better now and that’s a plus!

Friendly staff and the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. One of my top stops when I come to Tampa Bay. The sauce they make adds a nice zing. Very good value too.

You won’t believe the flavors of the food here. Everything is fresh and yummy. Not fancy, but the roast pork is heavenly. I have never had a bad meal here. And they have a drive thru!

Great food, great prices, and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place if you’re flying in or out of Tampa — it is just a few minutes north of the airport.

Great place for a quick lunch with co-workers. The serving is huge. I mean huge! I posted a pic. I would suggest sharing this meal. I got the roast pork with black beans and rice. The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned. Tasted very authentic. I have to admit I was but disappointed with the roast pork. It was seasoned well but was a little dry. They offered me «gravy» but that didn’t sound right. I was expecting it to be super juicy! Lol. My sides were sweet plantains and yuca. Those were super yummy!

Great place. It is a buffet style Cuban Restuarant with everything fixed fresh daily. The plantains are some of the best I’ve found and did I mention that it’s very reasonably priced

I used to stop in here every once in a while(nearly 20 years) for a cheap Cuban sandwich… emphasis on CHEAP! Not good… but good enough to fill me up without getting sick. I decided to stop in last week with my wife… thought we would try some of the other food items this time. So, we tried a few things… the Picadillo, Cuban Sandwiches, Rice, Plantains etc… everything was just cold and bland — no developed flavor like the good Cuban restaurants in the area; and to top it all off… I tipped this woman $ 3 for MY trouble! But Wait… It gets better… we had our German Shepherd outside — an older well trained/mannered dog… I walk in to ask for a to-go cup for my drink so that I could get him some water — she refused! Not because of his presence… but because they are CHEAP, SHALLOW people… I offered to pay for the cup — OHHHOK… no problem now — they just wanted another dollar! Please! My dog’s name is Anakin… he told me to tell you«Keep your dog-food…my family will eat elsewhere!»

Great Cuban food. Palomilla steak with black beans and rice with plaintains… que Rico! There’s no place like home! Ask them for their green salsa to put on the palomilla… it’s a great secret! And the ladies there are wonderfully sweet.

I have always enjoyed the cafeteria style dining here. It is a very popular lunch spot, and you can get in and out quickly. All the food items are on display, so you can pick out what you want. They serve you plenty of food, bordering on carb overload, for a reasonable price. There is nothing fancy here, just pretty good Cuban food.

Do you enjoy hot, flavorful food? Do you enjoy a clean, friendly enviorment in which to eat? Do you enjoy a portion that demands leftovers? Then Pipo’s Cuban Café is for YOU! I can’t say enough about the EXCELLENT food at Pipo’s. The ladies are always so welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this establishment. You will not be disappointed.

This is the OG Pipo’s, and the restaurant that would later spawn a rash of Pipo’s, Pipo’s JR., Pepo’s and other eateries with two P’s separated by the vowel of your liking. I’ve been eating here since the late 90’s, and was probably a regular at one point since I worked down the street and ordering lunch here was extremely convenient. I might have even thought their Cuban sammich was the best in town at one point as well. But we get older and wiser, don’t we? =) My problem with this place is reverse discrimination(perceived). I’ve literally been in line where the woman behind the counter was friendly as can be to the Hispanic gentleman in front of me, and then cold as a Canada night to me. It happened more than once, let’s just say. Nevertheless, and not one to be kept away from good food by a little racial tension, I returned for many years for the spoils. These days, I only stop in out of desperation or convenience. The food is always hot and fresh, and more than edible. The service, sadly, has just always been subpar.

I was excited to try Cuban food when I first moved down to Florida. This cafeteria style joint did not impress. Since I never had Cuban before, I asked a few questions to clarify what everything was, and the servers looked at me mockingly as if I was suppose to know. Their answers were minimal at best. The food was okay, maybe three stars, but the service was definitely 2 stars or lower.

Cafeteria style home cooked goodness! There is something about rice and garbanzos that cure a night of drinking. Also the best Cuban sandwich in town. I appreciate any place that uses real roasted pork simmered in delicious juices. But Pipo’s is above what I’ve had at other establishments.
