Old 7th

My sister and I wanted a tattoo on a Friday afternoon. We were hanging around Ybor City and tried one highly recommended place who could not fit us in. We went into 7^th and were greeted immediately and in a super friendly environment. We were told they could definitely fit us in but the artists wouldn’t be in for about 45 minutes. She invited us to wait there and showed us portfolios we could look through or let us know we could leave and come back. We looked through some artist portfolios and then left for a beverage. When we got back the artists were there and chatted with us. I showed him a pic of the type of tattoo we wanted and he immediately drew something up that we loved. We wanted small ones so it didn’t take long and he was able to do both of us! My other sister decided to get another one while waiting with us and they fit her in with another artist. All three of us were super happy with our finished pieces. Our artist was friendly and chatted to us throughout our time there. Overall everyone was friendly, our piece was hand-​drawn which made it more unique than the pic we showed, price was average (I don’t judge by price because sometimes you get what you pay for and I would rather pay more for a better done piece!), and we had a great experience!

I went to this place after referral from a friend and I checked them out online. Ken did my tattoo and needless to say I would never go back there at all (he is the artist to give you your next effed up tat)! I made it clear to him that I would like to do this cover up in one shot due to the time I was in tampa for. He took the job and screwed it up then made excuses, it merely was too much for him. The lines were messy, and you could still see the tattoos under the cover up he was supposed to have covered. I was like hey you can still see the cover up, he said it’s a cover up what do you expect.
Worst off, he began making excuses on finishing the job. I made another appointment for this at specifically. When I got the I’m concerned of it getting infected excuse, I then cancelled my appt (no use in going to try and get another tatt if he couldn’t finish the first one). I definately do not reccomend ken dean to no one. Be aware of hot garbage even you see it!

Every time I stop by, the staff is super friendly and awesome. I’ve had multiple tattoos (by Ken Dean) and a septum piercing done here– I’m always blown away by the work.
Ken Dean makes me laugh through the whole session. He’s the coolest guy ever and an amazing artist. I trust him completely with any idea I bring to him.

This review is for Pat the piercer. He repierced my nose with a diamond stud three days ago. He was previously at the Blue Devil Tattoo and moved over to the sister shop now. I emailed him back and forth asking questions. He was prompt to reply and nice over email. He was even more sweet in person. He was very clean (also the place is very clean). I mean, isn’t that a super important quality? Pat was funny and put me at ease. My husband came back with me because I was a scaredy cat closed my eyes in fear. I have to say Pat’s method hurt way less than when I had it done years ago in Chicago. I had problems and pain from the beginning with my nostril piercing, which was done in Chicago. I took it out sadly after a few months due to lots of discomfort. This time, I can tell it’s better while I was getting it pierced and now while caring for it. It was also much less painful of an experience. It was over before I could believe it! I was impressed that he’s been piercing for nearly 20 years. You definitely want someone who knows what he or she is doing who’s shoving a needle into a delicate body part. Do your homework and find someone you trust. That being said, I highly recommend Pat! He’s a funny too! I may go back again for another body piercing if I can work up the courage. :D His prices were very reasonable. He didn’t hassle me for bringing in my jewelry, which he sterilized. He was all about making sure everything was done under sanitary conditions. He also inspected the stud that I brought in to make sure it was appropriate and complimented me on my“nice piece of jewelry”. Thanks Pat for a great and fairly painless experience. Check him out!

I had my first tattoo done a little over a week ago. Jarrod did an amazing job. Took the idea i had in my head and made it into something better than i could have imagined. The shop was clean and everyone was chill and made this first timer comfortable.

We had a great experience. While some of the artists have a pretty long waiting list, we were able to see Ken D. He drew something simple and custom up for my wife and had everything done in just around an hour. Small neck tattoo about 4 by 2 inches. We were very pleased with the work and a few weeks later it is healing very nicely. We came in with an idea and he added just enough to make it personal and exactly what we didn’t know we wanted. Ken was great, and over all the shop seemed very relaxed. I definitely recommend this place.

I came in for the first time with my wife to have one of her tattoos touched up she got at a different shop and Jarrod knocked it out of the park. I came back to start work on turning a couple pieces I have on my arm into a sleeve. The atmosphere is great, the folks working the counter are helpful and accommodating; and the artist are some of the best I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for a great tattoo from a knowledgeable artist, look no further.
