Joe Otte from Mike’s pies was such a pleasure to work with. Mike’s pies is a local wholesale pie distributor based in Tampa that have their pies in menus nationwide. Although they are not geared towards wedding favors, Joe and his team was willing to make enough mini pies(tarts) to serve as favors for our wedding. We ordered 120 Apple Crumble tarts for our guest and each of them came individually packaged — perfect for favors! These pies were absolutely delicious and the perfect addition to our wedding. His high level of professionalism, quality, and immense flexibility was such a blessing during this time! Thank you to Joe and his team for being so great during this whole process.

I don’t get the raving. perhaps Keylime pie is a cultural thing. I happened to see a Mike’s keylime in the local Sweetbay so I grabbed it at $ 9. Got home and tried it. It was as expected a sweet /tart mix of what one would expect. It was by no means great and certainly not something I’d ever go in search of. I’ve had better, although I couldn’t give you a brand. If you are a Mike’s fan, power to you. It is nice to have something you really like. I wish I had a better review as I’m a desert fan.

The best Keylime pie ever! It will cost you $ 80 to get one shipped from their website(that is not a typo). I thought that had to be a mistake and actually called them to ask them about the price. They explained that they are charged high shipping costs by the carriers because they have to use refrigerated, overnight shipping since their products do not contain preservatives. Luckily it will cost only you around four dollars for one slice in a restaurant around here. However if you are smart and go to one of the local stores that sells them you can get a whole pie for less than $ 10. The Keylime is absolutely heavenly. It’s really tart but in a good way. I am craving one right now just thinking about it.

Sara, You are so right about Mike’s Pies. After seeing them on Food Finds we decided to give them a try. Bottom line verdict: The best damned Key Lime Pie in Florida. They closed shop on MacDill, but we don’t mind traveling a bit to get to this pie. Even though we are mostly northerners up here in Chicago, we are food savvy enough to know that one need not go down to the Florida Keys just to get good Key Lime Pie, it’s right here in Tampa!

HAHAOMG situations like this make me realise how much I suck sometimes! To make a long story short, I landed in Tampa and was immediately craving a Key Lime Pie. Key Lime Pie HAS to be eaten by me in Florida to complete the whole southern experience. Well, my friend picked me up and I told him I had to go to Publix to get my Key Lime Pie Fix. «No», he said. «We have to get you the BEST Key Lime Pie in Tampa!». Well, looked up «Best Key Lime Pie, Tampa» in my nifty Sprint Instict and Mike’s Pies came up. 13 Time National Champion of Key Lime Pies is impressive! Luckily, I have navigation on my phone, so it directed us to the address above. Well, this is where I start to suck. Because this address is Mike’s Pies corporate headquarters! Sure, they bake in the back, but don’t normally sell pies in this location! We walked up to the glass door and my friend and I were dying laughing, not believing that we had been such idiots. We then saw everyone else in the office laughing at us, as though we knew what had happened. These were corporate offices. The people were dressed up in work clothes! There were no bakers, no pie display, nothing! We walked in, explained the situation, and a nice gentleman went in the back and got me a huge Key Lime Pie to buy! Not only that, but he got a smaller pie and cut two pieces for my friend and I to eat right there! Then gave us the second pie for free because it was now«damaged». The pie itself was the best Key Lime Pie I’ve ever had… plus they ship! I am most certainly shipping myself some Key Lime Pies in the future. They also have some other amazing sounding pies I want to try, including Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie. Their Carrot and New York Style Cheesecake look phenomenal as well. And the pie obsession starts NOW.
