Macdill AFB Exchange

So this is the exchange, which is like a Walmart for those who are new to this. A little bit of everything can be found here under one roof. This particular one is a decent size, and their selection of items is ok. I rarely shop here as it is out of the way from where I live, but when I want to escape from my desk and office during the workday, it is just a few buildings over. Prices for the items that I’ve seen (mostly fishing gear) are in the same neighborhood as those off base, but it is tax free and they do price match. We were able to buy an ipad here at the Target sale price by bringing in the ad. Also of note inside this same complex but a few doors down is the class 6/​package store, which caters to all of your alcoholic needs. They do carry a selection of local beers as well as liquors and wines from all over the world. All in all this exchange is not a bad place to shop or to kill a bunch of time.

I come here for the groceries. The drive is a little long but I only do it once a month. And each time I do it’s definitely worth it. I feel super special because not everyone has the privilege to shop on base but because of my husband’s service in the military I do. I find super deals on meat, toiletries, fruit, vegetables and other things. The grocery store is super clean but crowded unless you go early in the morning. I highly recommend going early in the morning that’s not always the case for me as I may have other things to do but no worries the deals will be there in the afternoon also. The staff generally is super nice, there’s a lady in the meat department I don’t know her name but she’s awesome and she will help you with anything and keep you abreast on all the sales go to the meat department and find her. O the the bathrooms are clean I use bathrooms everywhere I go so take it from me they are clean.

A decent size Air Force Base Military Exchange for the Military personal and families to come to to either buy electronics, weapons, ammunition/​accessories, clothing, cologne/​perfume and lady make up, jewelery and much much more. Also there is electric carts that are available for the person who needs extra assistance while your shopping and there is also shopping carts to put your items inside the buggy so you don’t have to hold on to them while you shop.
Also, there is other setup show cases and stores right before you enter the Exchange just look to your right and left side you’ll see them. Over all experience you’ll find a lot of great bargains here at the Military Exchange.
