So my daughter and I happened upon these folks at a food truck rally, of sorts. We bought the cheesecake and the cannoli, hopped in our vehicle and drove away. We ate the cannoli before we got around the block and ITWASFABULOUS! Seriously. So fabulous that we wanted another. But we had little cash, and we figured it wouldn’t be fair to ask them to swipe a card for such a small purchase since they are not a big chain… they pay fees for swipes, ya know. So we scraped together the change from everywhere– emptied our wallets, searched the bottom of our purses, dug in the console, etc. FINALLY! Back we went. Paid them in dimes, nickles and pennies without a trace of embarrassment. Second cannoli was as dynamite as the first. They kept the cookie tube separate and filled the cannoli for us when we ordered. The cookie part was crunchy and the filling was sweet and creamy… ooooh man! When we got home, we opened the cheesecake, which came in this little mason jar with a screw-on lid. Too wonderful to put into words… but I’ll try. We got the caramel one… caramel perfect, creamy, dreamy cheesecake with nice little buttery graham crust on the bottom. True cheesecake texture, which surprised me. I am a foodie who cooks and bakes myself, so I was prepared to be disappointed by a cheesecake in a jar. Not a sliver of disappointment. Only complaint: too small for two women… we were sad to see the end of our little cheescake. But we got the little jar as a happy memory, which I washed and kept. Kinda like a two-fer…cute, little jar with happy memories. Yay!

Yum! I found these little cheesecakes at JJ’s Deli on Gandy in St Pete. It was hard to choose but I picked the Plant City flavor(made with strawberries from Plant City, FL). Very fresh and delicious! I think the price was $ 6 for the jar. I can’t wait to try the other flavors.

Le’Anns has amazing cheesecakes with endless flavor options. I found her at my neighborhood’s open house. I was lucky enough to try three flavors of my choice. We tried the guava, strawberry, and pineapple coconut. Guava was the most favorite of them all. Next time, I’d like to try their Grand Breakfast, Dexter, & Charleston. Blue. You can find them sold at the Bearrs Grove, the Old Southeast Market in St. Pete has them. Also, if you look on their website, there is an events page that shows where they will be. For example, this month they are at the Generation Food Truck Court(Seminole Hts.), Fruitville Groves Pumpkin Fest, and at the end of the month they will be in DTSP at The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally 4. Try them out bc you will be in love!
