This is my favorite coffee/breakfast joint in Ybor. I live in the area and always enjoy walking here on the weekends. Their iced coffee is my favorite; I have a huge sweet tooth, but the way they brew the coffee is so flavorful that I hardly need any additional flavor. They sell baked goods as well as sandwiches, great bacon egg and cheeses. There is lots of indoor seating, and the place itself is a great size. The wait for food and coffee can be a bit long, but I’m willing to put up with a bit of a wait for good coffee.

We stopped in here for some coffee while exploring Ybor City. It was a nice little coffee shop. They also had a bar & a table set up with games to play at your table. Because of the bar they did serve some alcohol coffee drinks. The coffee was good. I was a little disappointed the coffee of the day was not available, as it ran out. I just got the regular coffee. It tasted ok black, I wondered how long it had been sitting out ready. With the coffee I also got an amazing gluten free cookie. It was handmade & they had a white cranberry oatmeal flavor. By the time we were done with our coffees & cookies were were refreshed & ready to explore Ybor City again.

Without calling myself a coffee aficionado, I can distinguish between good and bad coffee. The coffee here is not only extremely watered down, but overpriced!

A friend picked this location for an afternoon coffee and games meetup. I’d never visited before but did sigh a little over finding parking in Ybor. Once parked, I was surprised how large the space is — HUGE for a coffeeshop. There were worn but comfy couches and chairs for our afternoon of friendly competition. I went with an iced coffee smoothie thing(are they frappecinos from other places too?). It was pretty good — could have been a little stronger on the coffee for me. I was leaning towards 4 stars(3.5 would have been perfect) but there was some oddness about one of our bags being swept up by staff while we ordered. I really appreciated their diligence but it made me feel a little uncomfortable. Have they had a lot of issues with thefts? Who knows…

I love this place stop there all the time, I work a couple of blocks away. Coffee is always good and doesn’t taste bad or watered down. Breakfast items are great. I had the ham and egg on a bagel and it was great. Good selection on the menu. One of my favorite stop off points in the morning. Pros– I like the location It is cool Staff, always friendly Location Quality of food Cons parking(normal ybor)

I work in Ybor and have a habit of trying café con leche everywhere that has it so I stopped here before work one morning as I have been by Joffreys several times but never inside. I got there right when it opened and it had a classic general store vibe as other reviews have mentioned but being on my way to work I did not sit down or try any food. The staff was very friendly but a large café con leche was $ 5.25?! A large is probably 14−16oz cup and is nothing special. They use Café Bustelo coffee(which is normal) and whole milk. It tasted mediocre at best. I will not be back. If you want a very good café con leche I would go to Carmines($ 3.50) or if you are on the way to work Palm Ave Sandwich Shop($ 2.50). I dont mind spending an extra few dollars on quality coffee but the equipment milk and coffee brand is the same as anywhere else and made better elsewhere.

I mean, I’m a coffee lover. I don’t say no to coffee. But paying 5 – 6 dollars for a cup of coffee that taste watered down is such a bummer! I see potential in this place, they just gotta get it together.

I preferred Joffrey’s when it was in Centro Ybor. It was cozy and convenient. Now it’s in an awkward location, not really fit for a coffee shop. The place is very large and strangely dark in one area where there is a bar(as it used to be the Laughing Cat restaurant and prior to that, Streetcar Charlie’s). There’s more of a coffee shop feel in the front when you walk in and place your order and then there’s the large café area facing 8th. It’s a strange space but it is conducive to reading and studying as it’s not too busy of a place due to it’s location in Ybor. There’s an old school video game to play, magazines(many of which were Scientology-based as their building is close by), TV and boardgames. They have a decent menu for a coffee shop. In my last visit, I got a Cuban and surprisingly, it was one of the best Cubans I’ve had. I did have a concern with what I thought were hairs in the Cuban bread but the lady working there assured me they were pieces of palm fronds that are used when making Cuban bread. I accepted this explanation as I have seen those little«hairs» before in Cuban bread at another place. She said they try to pick them off as best as they can. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that that’s what they were. It was a really tasty sandwich and the price was right. I’ve also had a tuna croissant sandwich from here which was also good. My drinks weren’t too memorable so I can’t write much about them.

I ordered a Mediterranean wrap. It was 90% lettuce with a very very small amount of chicken and hummus. There were no seasonings and it was flavorless!!! I took it back to the woman at the counter. She said it had 4 oz of chicken and«dollop» of hummus. She did not offer to make me something else or improve what I ordered. I told her to throw it away and I left. What a waste of money… I will never return.

Stopped here for iced coffee. The front end looks more like a general store so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The girl was very helpful and accommodating. I didn’t want cream so she got the milk for me. It was good but the coffee had a flavor. Not sure what it was but I drank it anyway. They had a special on grilled chicken wraps and it was delicious! Fresh chicken fresh greens tomatoes and mayo on wheat wrap. Excellent! The dining area looks good. Very casual.

The service was good, the place was a little dark but it was cozy and comfortable. Also their tres leches cake is a MUSTTRY. All in all a good first experience there

Being told to go somewhere else to eat when you walk in to an establishment is not a good sign.

It was clear that they didn’t want our business on Sunday night. I read a similar review stating this… read it to the guy behind the coffee bar and we laughed as he basically told us the same exact thing and recommended the Italian place down the street if we wanted food. This place is a joke, what is going on here? We are hungry and this employee is basically telling us he is out of stock of all the good stuff?
