Wow. Just some background. We’ve had this service for over 7 years now. We pay our bill every month on time. We are now trying to move and we want to cancel our service. So when we had them upgrade their outdated equipment. So when that happened they locked us in for a 40 month contract. Now to get out of it they want $ 1300.00. And there is no way to break this. None at all. So stay away! Do not use. Go somewhere else. These people will not work with you regardless of how long you’ve been a loyal customer.

We’ve had them for our home security company for 6 years now. I’ve never had problems with their response times. Their staff has always been friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Switched over in 2012. Big mistake. Installation was not done correctly the first time. Purchased two key fobs for my elderly parents, which they were not comfortable with using. Called the next day to send them back and was told I could not. My smoke alarm kept going off, even after replacing the batteries. Had to finally disconnect it. Was charged a fee to remove it from my panel. It seems they are not willing to work with their existing customers, and are more concerned with getting new ones. Would give them 0 stars if I could.

Installed a new Simon XTI system in my home. Very easy to use and the installer was professional and friendly. Have had a very good experience so far. Much better than the other security companies I have used in the past. Definitely would recommend Guardian.

Don’t use Guardian Protection Services! If you move into a home with Guardian equipment already installed– have another company replace the control panel with theirs. This company will tell you anything to charge you a non refundable fee for a service call. They sent a service agent to my home who didn’t know the basics about my security system or turning it on, he was in my home for only ten minutes (most of that was his apologizing) and sat in his car outside my home for over an HOUR — and charged me for the overtime! He admitted that no work was done yet he asked me to sign the work order which stated that he completed the work, including the extra time, by telling me not to read it! The home office has continued to harass me and bill me EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT A CUSTOMER AND NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT. Don’t let these crooks get your phone number– call someone else.
