Great Expressions Dental Centers Citrus Park

I am new to the area and needed a new dentist. My insurance gave me the closest office to where I live. When I called I was able to get in very quickly. The office and staff are great. I have always been afraid of the dentist but they really treated me excellent. I was surprised how much work I needed, I never needed a deep cleaning before, but they explained everything to me and also explained special financing that would help me pay for it. The Doctor was so nice and the manager even was able to squeeze me in to have my deep cleaning while I was there even though they worked through lunch. I highly recommend this office.

I loved the office and the staff! With that being said, I wasted 2 hours here. As a new patient, they don’t clean teeth on that first visit, they did the x-​rays and they did a panaramic, which is not covered by my insurance and they did not tell me this until after the fact and then charged me $ 25. When I called my insurance company I was told that they are suppose to choose either the panaramic or the 16 views where you put the things in the mouth. They did both. Also from 10:00am until 11:37am was my visit and to never have my teeth cleaned was ridiculous. Yes I need some deep cleaning but that has never been a problem in the past. I see the dentist every year and this is the first time I have ever been told «well you don’t qualify for a normal cleaning because you need all this work». So you clean me and then we schedule the rest at a later date, that is how it is normally done. My «pockets» were mostly 3’s and 2’s with a few 4’s & 5’s so really that is not even too bad. Also, they are wanting to remove some of my fillings to give me new ones and make sure that I dont have cavities under them? Are you serious??? They are fillings from the 2000’s not 1960 … needless to say I have to now find a new dentist and take another day off from work. I have to find someone who will not try to «sell» me dental work! Also, just an FYI… i have clean, white, pretty teeth. I do not smoke or do drugs and I brush daily, I just don’t floss as often as I should. SO in case you are picturing someone scary that needs extra work … don’t :)
