I think the negative reviews of this place are missing the point. If you want shops full of dedicated vendors with things like clothing, luggage, jewelry, and imports all brand new, this is not the place for you, and it’s not intending to be. As the title implies, this is a «swap shop»… it’s a flea market that basically functions as one huge garage sale. And what do you find at garage sales? Other people’s stuff that they don’t want anymore. If you like checking out yard sales, this is the place you want. The condition of the items obviously varies from vendor to vendor, but there was an AMAZING amount of it, and most of the prices seemed very reasonable. My husband and I visited for the first time on Sunday. It was PACKED. It’s a huge place and you can find people selling everything from clothes to games, appliances, toys, movies, and much, much more. There are a few food stands, mostly things like fresh fruit and tacos, and a few surprisingly big vegetable vendors. The produce we saw looked in very good shape and was at a very good price to boot… they even had tons of different peppers, bulk beans, and a very clean fish/butcher market area. The only real downside is the parking. This place opens at 6AM, and by the time we showed up at around 11AM, they had signs out saying the lot was full. You have to pay $ 3 to park(cash only) and they’ll still let you in to hunt for a spot, but if you can’t find one, you have to leave and you don’t get your money back. As a result, there were a lot of VERY aggressive drivers, people blocking the only road waiting for someone to pull out, and even people trying to park IN the road to avoid leaving. Despite this, I’d actually say coming later in the day like we did is the better idea unless you plan to park elsewhere and walk over, because there are a lot more people leaving so spaces free up faster. We had to drive for a bit before we found a place way at the back beneath one of the screens. Just go into this expecting and wanting the sort of random items you’d find at a bunch of yard sales and you’ll be fine.

Visited only once, on a Saturday I recall. Overall unimpressed. Some decent fruit and veggies, plus potted ornamentals at good prices, but most of the ware offered were fairly random, well-worn and doubtful value at any price. Unlikely to repeat.

I’d love to rate this higher, but it’s just not possible. By no means am I a flea market /swap meet afficionado; I just occasionally visit them to browse for fun. And although Fun Lan’s swap meet is open Friday-Monday, it might as well not be. To be fair, I went on a Friday, and maybe that’s a «slow day», but this was awful. This place is more decrepit than the back room at an off-brand thrift shop. Aside from the 5 or so produce vendors(who may have been a good deal, I didn’t check them out), the rest of the«vendors» were basically people selling crap they’d found in other people’s garbage. Not that I’m against dumpster diving, and making some money off of other’s waste, but Fun Lan was shockingly bad. Head to this place if you think a homeless person’s yard sale sounds like a blast. Otherwise, it’s best to make the drive to a better Flea Market.
