Fruit Of The Vine Organics

Fruit of the Vine Organics is a unique farmer’s market that offers organic fresh and local produce. The business does not have a storefront and started as a business out of Vera’s home in Davis Islands. As the business has expanded she has partnered up with Cru Cellars Wine Shop in South Tampa.
So this is how it works…
Every Thursday the owner, Vera Farmen, contacts local farmers and distributors in the Tampa Bay area for available organic produce. Emails are sent to her website’s subscribers on Friday and customers can place their orders from small or large baskets of vegetables and/​or fruit on her website. Every Monday from 3 until 7pm Cru Cellars moonlights as an organic market. Customers can pick up their pre-​ordered baskets of organic fruit and vegetables from Cru Cellars. If customers cannot pick-​up their order there is a delivery option to homes and businesses in the South Tampa area for $ 5.
Availability depends on what is seasonal. I did find that there is no option to customize your basket online. Perhaps you can swap items in-​person at Cru Cellars if you don’t care for an item in the weekly basket, but this option would not be available if the basket is being delivered. Large mixed baskets are $ 55 and contain enough fruit and vegetables for a family of 4 – 5. Half mixed baskets are $ 35 and contain enough fruits and vegetables for 2 – 3 people. Fruit baskets, gift baskets and gift cards, a-​la-​carte produce and chocolate chip cookies are also available for purchase.
I really like Fruit of the Vine and their concept of not having a storefront. The produce is so much fresher since it’s not sitting in a warehouse or grocery store and the prices are reasonable for the high quality of organic produce received. The only reason I am rating them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the website could use some work and I would like for it to be easier to alter basket orders.

This is a service that provides fresh, organic fruits and vegetables once a week. The food is awesome and this service has inspired us to create new dishes each week. They not only provide the highest quality food, but give storage tips and recipes that are outstanding. If you like to be creative in the kitchen, you have to try this company. They are fantastic!
