Because who doesn’t just love 5 guys? No, no, this is not the cheesy start of some adult film, this is burgers. Pure, simple, consistent, juicy, delicious burgers. I was first blown away by Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Brooklyn a few years ago, and was stoked when I came across this location in Tampa. When you walk in the first thing you realize is that your path to the register is paved with massive bags of potatoes and a huge bucket of peanuts. These two items tie perfectly into what makes Five Guys so great: freshness and absolutely no skimping on the fries. The business model has survived since the first store opened and they use fresh ingredients. They actually open those dated and numbered bags of potatoes each day to make the fries. The meat is always fresh and the buns are amazing and delicious. You won’t find any pre-made, sitting in the warmer, soggy burgers which are common at lower end burger chains. Speaking of lower end, you’ll pay a premium for these burgers, but it’s very well worth it. This place used to be advertised as the $ 5 burger, but now thanks to inflation, that’s no longer the case. Moving on to the fries. Even the«smaller» fries consists of a full cup which overflows into the bottom 1⁄3 of your paper bag. Go ahead, eat one on your way home. Eat two. Heck, eat 15 on the road home and you’ll still have tons left over for your burger. The interior of this place is spotless and the service is superb. I’ve literally walked in 15 minutes to close(yea, I was THAT guy) right after a full blown Tropical Storm had hit, and the employees were cheerful, welcoming and attentive. The customer service, smiles, and courtesy are never lacking here.

Freezing cold inside, long wait time with only few people which led to cold burgers and old fries. Please fix this.

Every time I visit this place I’m blown away by the customer service. Greeted as soon as I walk in the door, food ready in a timely manner, and one of the most important to me; cleanliness. Right now there are 3 or 4 employees cleaning inside and outside of the building. It’s always spotless! Keep up the great work!

Can’t go wrong with Five guys! This location has the friendliest staff as well. Greeted by the cashier as you walk through the door, and even the cooks take the time to ask how your days is going. Clean, fast, friendly and yummy.

It is what it is, hot greasy, and delicious! Made to order so plan on it taking longer than fast food and tasting much better!

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. So I was surprised to find a bad full of fries only when I got home 5 miles later and 12 dollars later. I’ll never eat at that location again.

McDonald’s just lost one of the billion customers! I had an intense craving for a bacon cheeseburger and I did my research online… Wendy’s Baconator or McD’s cheeseburger? All my friends kept saying.“Five guys?” So I turn to the ‘bible’ and Unilocaled it… and off I went! This place was PACKED when I got in, No free table at all… but as I waited in line, high turnover rate. Families, couples, people with extended families, people in wheelchairs, teenagers mix were there! Two cashiers and the line moved fast. Free toppings, which got me all excited. too excited I forgot to get lettuce! I had a junior cheeseburger and a large fries. I had to wait a bit but it was GOOD when it came… I think I finished it in 2 minutes! Yummy BACON!!! The large fries was WAY too much, get the regular and you probably still need to share! Five guys, I am definitely a fan! No more mediocre cheeseburgers anywhere else! And come on, for a place to have only 4 choices of burgers, 4 choices of hotdogs and 2 sizes of fries… they must be doing something right to keep on doing this!

I love 5 guys. Their burgers are great. Only giving 4 stars though because I feel like their prices have increased a bunch. $ 15 lunch seems a little excessive now. However, it is delicious.

One of my favorite burger joints in the area. I like that you get to tell them what you want on your burger. Staff is always super nice and accommodating to my request for no salt on fries. A little pricey for fast food BUT at the same time you get a good amount of food. I always have to share my fries when I come since there are so many(and for the 2 bucks for a regular fry it’s like triple what you would get from anywhere else for the price)

I’ve loved Five Guys before they were a chain as a single store in Virginia. They still use the same delicious buttermilk buns and high quality lean beef across the country though. This is the only Five Guys that hasn’t been five stars, however, for its lack of quality control and consistency. I’ve had fries that are over salted, fries that are overflowing, fries that are skimpy and barely to the top of the cup, grilled cheese wasn’t melted, tomato wasn’t ripe, burger topping were a mess or all on one side. I’ve eaten here plenty of times to know they mess up often! My order must be repeated numerous times and drinks have been forgotten. They need to retrain some of their employees! Most of them are great, extremely nice and helpful, but there are definitely off days for some. Other franchises have a supervisor inspecting all the patties and toppings, e.g. see the location at Sarasota/University Park and how well they are run and operated. I watch him watch everything that passes to the customer and remove bad lettuce or tomatoes. Quality control is badly needed at this Tampa franchise. What brings me back are the amazing burgers. The little cheeseburger is the perfect portion of beef to toppings, and I like to get the jalapenos grilled. The regular has two beef patties, which are a bit too much in my opinion. I’m not a huge fan of their fries, because they are not to my liking with the amount of oil and salt. They have a great hamburger product and that’s all I need. It just needs to be delivered properly and consistently.

Loooove their burgers and their awesome service. Don’t care much for the over salty fries but they are always happy to make us salt less fries.

I have always enjoyed this joint. Awesome music. Smörgåsbord of condiments and the service is always upbeat and fun. One of the few fast food joints I’ll actually sit and eat in. The burgers are great and the fries are addicting! And where else can you get Mello yello? Lol. Give it a go guys!

American’s may be used to amazing burgers or «patties» but as an Irish lass, after a long journey from Dublin to Tampa, I had a «died and gone to heaven» moment as I chomped my first five guys burger. Soft bun, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, spicy jalapeño and, two, yes, two succulent, tender, juicy patties that made me audibly groan at the flavour party in my mouth. The fries were great too, but the burger. My eating mate and I just scoffed both our meals in less than five minutes and nodded off for a blissful nights sleep on full, happy tummies! Deffo going back… in fact… what’s for lunch?!

I DON’T GETIT… THESEPLACESARENOTGREAT THEYAREANOVERPRICEDBURGERJOINT. i cant figure out the hype over 5 guys… all it is is a burger and not a very good one at that and they are expensive. if they were a 4 dollar burger i would say what a great burger for the price but they are almost double that for a little burger. don’t think they are like fat burger or in-n-out because overall LOUSY

I’m slowly figuring out that all Five Guys are not created equal. This location is nice and all, but the last visit resulted in not so wonderful beef(hard fat chunks) and an overcooked burger(actually, it was technically 3 patties) and the saddest order of fries, ever. The previous visit was not wonderful, either. No longer an isolated incident :( I hope that the Five Guys moniker isn’t allowing locations to rest on the laurels of the good name.

I love the bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings. My real weakness though is the hand cut fries. Share the regular fries, they are more than enough for two. I had to make myself a believer so trust me. Prices have increased … not so sure ill be eating here as often. Its getting a little pricey for me taking my food out in a brown bag.

Mmmmm Five Guys has great fries. And there burgers are pretty darn good too! But there are way better Five Guys than this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad. It is the closest to my work and so I have been here a handful of times. On one occasion I ate in. The rest I brought my food back to the office. I really like the topping selection. I usually got my burgers fully loaded. But that makes them very messy. The burgers here seem a bit extra messy. Also tasty but oh so messy. Maybe it’s just because I am on break, but they seem to go really slow here! Uhhhg it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get your food. I wish I could give Five Guys 5 Stars, and relatively speaking they deserve it compared to fast food. But this place is just not very fast.

After having some of the best burgers in my life from Burger Culture, I seriously think Five Guys is «okay». They do give you a ton of food so kudos to them for that. Their prices can be a little crazy but their food is outstanding. If you’re looking to be on a diet, don’t go here. Your heart will stop by the time you reach the door but you’ll be happy about it.

Touted as best burger and it is not bad. More expensive than the established McD/BK/Wendy fare, but not terribly so. Also good fries, but no special sides or factor that would make me come here rather than a local burger joint, or even convenient high-volume chains. Trendy, but trends tend to have tidal crests and then neap tide. If this is upscale, I’ll take scale.
