Worth the price tag. Service, food and atmosphere are superb. Every employee we encountered treated us like royalty even though we were a little under dressed and definitely stood out as tourists. Nothing to improve this place has hospitality perfected.

I love their menu there are plenty of seafood options and non for those who are looking for a good steak. Oyster bar is probably my favorite seating area. Watch them chuck your fresh oysters while sipping a glass of champs with your girlfriends. Great Happy Hour! Only downside is if you plan on having a large party or birthday book an earlier dining time we didn’t get out until 11 or so.

I just love this place. On this trip we just had drinks and an appetizer in the bar. Our server asked us if we were celebrating anything, which we were, and I think she was more excited about our anniversary than we were! She gave us excellent service and seemed genuinely disappointed that we weren’t staying for dinner. I had a delicious Spanish wine from the happy hour menu and my husband mad a dirty martini, which he always loves at this place. We opted not to go with our usual tuna appetizer, and took our servers suggestion to try the scallops. Beautiful presentation and were also delicious. Of course, we’ll be back.

everything we had was great. you get what you pay for $$$. great steaks and great sides. mac and cheese was excellent haha my brother and i split a tomahawk, it was the biggest steak i’ve ever ordered. they offered to cut it before bringing it out so we had them do that, i couldn’t imagine slicing that beast up with such a huge bone

Had lobster tacos, ny strip, filet, and bananas foster. Everything was great. Great ambiance, beautiful restaurant, and our server Ashely took great care of us! My NY Strip was a little over charred on top, besides that everything was great. Highly recommend! The bananas foster is a must, not only does it taste amazing the presentation on it is pretty cool! Ashley was very helpful, and a good guide through the menu!

It was my first time here two weeks ago and everything met my expectations. We arrived 10 minutes earlier than our reservation time and was told to wait. But there wasn’t anywhere to wait besides the bar, which was crowded. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The only issue I had was him trying to push certain menu items on us. The food we ordered was outstanding! The Batterfried Oysters are the best cooked oysters I’ve ever had. It was not overly greasy and the curry sauce was delicious. It’s a brilliant pairing. For my main entrée I ordered the Icelandic Cod. The fish tasted fresh and the lemon-white wine broth really brought everything together. One con is that the fish started tasting too salty halfway through my meal. I also ordered 2 sides, the Broccolini with Lemon and Garlic and Truffled Macaroni and Cheese. Both were cooked well and a good size. I did not have any room left for dessert after eating all this. I hope to save room for dessert the next time I go.

We had dinner here for the first time and really enjoyed the food. Someone in that kitchen has a gift for combining flavors and sauces … I think it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. From the bread at the beginning to the dessert at the end, the food was flawless and I don’t say that lightly. Downfall of the night was our server… We were with a party of 8 and I asked for a Bulliet Bourbon on the rocks and he said they might have ran out and would give me Buffalo Trace instead… I said okay. When checking the bill I was charged for Basil Hayden which was a lot more. He put a whole bottle of wine on are tab when my wife only had one glass. I guess i should have looked over the bill a little better but thought I wouldn’t have to at such a great place. We will be back… hoping for a different server next time though!

As our favorite restaurant in Tampa, my wife and I decided to host our wedding rehearsal dinner in the private dining room. There are no words to describe the professionalism of the staff. Everything was incredibly executed. The food and service were superb as always. Kimberly Kraimer in particular was absolutely a pleasure to work with. Thanks so much!

So we were here a year ago and loved it and came back again while visiting family in Tampa. I just love the dark, cozy contemporary atmosphere. Our server was really great; friendly, efficient, and very apologetic about our food taking so long to arrive. She generously comped our apps, salads and desserts! The food was phenomenal just like last time and my vodka gimlet was perfect! Can’t wait to return!

List of cars that were in the parking lot: Rolls Royce Ghost, Porsche Targa, two Merc G63AMG’s, couple of S class &7 series. Then I showed up in my Bugatti Veyron. That’s right, clear the parking lot plz… The King is here. Just kidding, I parked in the back and walked to Eddie V’s to avoid valet parking lol. First impression: At first glance Eddie V’s doesn’t have the wow factor that similar upscale restaurants have. Lobby area is quite small(we had to awkwardly wait behind the glass door) and the bar area is too close to the lobby. There’s no water fountain or anything fancy to make you feel like you are at a fine dining restaurant. However, that was just my first impression and things got only better afterwards. Batterfried Oysters: Fried oysters with light curry flavor and served on fried Asian cucumbers. These were EXCELLENT. Very intriguing flavors that I had never really experienced before! Swordfish Steak: This was my entrée and it was SUBLIME. Fantastic flavors with a hint of red chili peppers, combined with an abundance of lump crab meat and avocado. Swordfish was cooked to perfection(although slightly dry but I believe swordfish isn’t moist like sea bass) Side dishes: Both broccolini and truffle mac & cheese were big enough to share between two people. Definitely worth the $ 10 price tag. Service: I realize servers are trained to upsell indulgent items and expensive wine, especially during the Christmas holiday weeks. Understandably so, our server was quite pushy in trying to sell appetizers/salads, wine bottles, and desserts. No means no, goddangit!(wouldn’t wanna go home with him if I were a girl lol) Nevertheless, the service was great and food came timely.

A solid seafood steakhouse experience. Everything was good to great, but not outstanding. Cold Water Oysters — These were not pre-cut at the base, which I expect with this level of dining. They were also tilted so the liquor fell out. Too bad. Stone Crab Claws — My first experience with stone crab. Extra meaty claws, though the taste was bland and not as interesting as Blue Crab. Icelandic Cod — Tender and flaked perfectly. The white wine lemon broth was very good, though the fish itself could benefit from more seasoning. The individual Brussels sprout leaves soaking in the sauce were delicious. Sautéed Red Fish — Great hearty flavor in the rustic meuniere sauce. Generous lump crab covering. The fish was just a little dry, but overall this was better than the cod. Tomahawk Steak Special — This is a showstopper with what looked like a 2 ft bone. The meat was juicy with great flavor. 1-lb Lobster tail — The weakest dish. Lobster was a bit overdone. Bland. The sides were delicious. I loved the Brussels sprouts with bacon which weren’t the crispy style, but instead a nice al dente. The broccolini had a cayenne kick. The wild mushrooms were fine. Service was nice with some missteps. Our waiter was cheerful and well-versed with the menu. He made some basic food knowledge mistakes though such as saying lump crab when we asked where the crab was from. We placed orders for apps first. We weren’t visited again by our waiter for an hour while we finished the apps. We finally placed entrée orders 90 minutes after we sat down. Good thing there was bread. The sommelier was great. We wanted a Chilean red, and he recommended one which happened to be the cheapest cab on the menu. We hesitated at the price, but the sommelier assured us this was a quality red. I appreciated his honestly, and the wine was surprisingly enjoyable given the price. Though this is a fancier place, there were plenty of men wearing shorts and sandals. Guess that’s Florida for you!

Really enjoyed my dining experience from the moment I drove up till the time I left. I Started off with some dirty martinis with the steak and lobster tartare. Both were enjoyable. Since there are so many wonderful seafood and steak options I think any carnivore will be happy to find that perfect meal of the night. The server I had for the night was a bit slow and completely forgot about the pre ordered banana fosters. Forcing me to remind him in front of the birthday girl. Which normally isn’t supposed to happen at a restaurant like this. But it did. For the main course I had the cod with roasted Brussels sprout leaves with lemon cream sauce. This to was really great. But somehow I left with a bit of a upset tummy that night. Not sure if it was the cream sauce with the fish or the several dirty martinis. They have a happy hour from 5 – 7 with discounted martini drinks and apps. Live music is played in the bar area as well so be sure to check their website to see who is playing.

I was visiting Tampa this past weekend and had the opportunity to eat at this fine establishment. First off I will say that service is awesome. Our waiter and all other members of the staff were so friendly and attentive. They even handled my dates annoying tendency to joke with the servers very well. I started with the calamari. I think the garnish is a bit much, but the calamari itself tasted awesome. Crispy, nice size pieces and the portion size was pretty good too. My date got oysters, he comes here all the time and loves them here. Oysters aren’t really my thing though, but I ate one or two. Now to the entrees:-). I had their featured one pound lobster tail on special that evening. It was very good. I thought it was just a little tough, but overall very good. My date got their 26 oz Tuscon bone in steak. It was very very tender, I had to get a couple bites of it, I couldn’t just watch him eat it. When I go back, I will be getting a steak next time after tasting his meal. For sides we had steamed spinach and truffle lobster mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was just ok to me. I’ve had better lobster mac at other places, the truffle taste was very faint. Spinach is spinach. Had to add something green on the table after all of that food we were eating. Our waiter made a good wine suggestion. Not too sweet, not to dry. It was red. For dessert we had a godiva chocolate cake they have on the menu. I was stuffed, I wish I had more room to do it justice. It was very rich, you definitely need the ice cream.

Liked the dark, romantic ambiance. LOVED the live music. Service was good. I stopped in for a drink and an app after spending the ENTIRE day at the Apple Store. I was pampered accordingly. Had the tuna and steak tartare and it was fantastic. Just wish it had come with more bread. I had to eat the end with my fork!

Finally tried Eddie V’s and was pretty happy with the experience. I will say I only met friends for happy hour so this technically is not a full review of the place but more of the happy hour and bar area. They had a decent selection of happy hour wine and items and we were able to find a table right as we got there. Parking is limited but free valet which helps. Our server was pretty cool and was funny and once he found out we were there with someone who was celebrating a birthday he went above and beyond to make sure she felt special so that was a plus. I will probably go back sometime to try the food and full experience but overall had a good time. Prices for happy hour are a bit higher compared to other places just as an fyi.

Parking: We could not figure out where the self parking was. There was a sign with an arrow pointing us in a direction where all of the spots had reserved signs. We decided to just valet. Cleanliness: Restaurant was very clean. The seating area as well as the restroom. Customer service: The customer service was great. The hostess found our reservation and had us seated in no time. Our waitress was very friendly. Everyone else that came by to fill our waters, bring over our food, etc. was also very friendly and attentive. Food: The food was good. The batterfried oysters were very small but they were tasty. I liked the curry that was drizzled on top. The potstickers were also good. The halibut and the chowder that it was on was good. The dessert was not my favorite. The cake was just okay and the sauce that was put on it wasn’t my favorite. It was very overpowering. Cost: We had 2 appetizers, 2 halibuts, 2 sides and 1 dessert for $ 200.

4.5 stars, but rounded up to 5 stars, because it doesn’t seem like the whole awesome experience should be brought down by our just marginal server. We started at the bar, perfectly attended to by the bartenders Max and Robert. Robert had serious skills with cocktails, and was even able to accommodate my boyfriend with a cocktail that the ‘best’ steakhouse in town couldn’t make. We started with two appetizers here — the fried oysters, and the calamari. The fried oysters were good, but the calamari was outstanding. It was served with crunchy noodles and cashews, and was so flavorful and tasty, I loved it. We moved to our table for dinner, and the server came right over to greet us and confirm we were set on cocktails. While he brought the refills, we reviewed the menus. Then sat and waited, and waited, and waited, all with closed menus on the table. FINALLY, he came around again and we ordered(only after prompting him to tell us the specials, though). The food was awesome. Seriously. I started with the shrimp and crab chopped salad, with avocado, hearts of palm, tomatoes, mushrooms, blue cheese and walnuts. I could eat that all day, every day. So fresh, so flavorful, it was perfect. My entrée was the sautéed red fish with fresh lump crab and a meunière sauce. It too was perfect — light and flaky and tender with so much crab meat on top. Our table also split two side dishes. The mac and cheese is a MUSTHAVE. I’m not kidding, with just the right amount of truffle oil in it, I think it’s the best I’ve had in Tampa Bay. The bartenders recommended the other side dish — which was the crab fried rice with mushrooms and scallions, and it was outstanding. So surprising, but it did go perfectly with my fish. Saved half my entrée to leave room for dessert, so once again when we were finally able to find our waiter, I ordered the dark chocolate and crushed toffee s’mores with toasted vanilla bean marshmallow. So sweet and so tasty! The rest of the table split the recommended dessert which was hot bananas foster butter cake with butter pecan ice cream, and they could not stop raving about how amazing it was. Cool, flashy, fire presentation with it, too. Start to finish it was an excellent experience — with the only downside being our constantly disappearing waiter. Eddie V’s was obviously built to impress, and the whole package, ambiance, food, bartenders, hostesses, etc., definitely does.

I could go on for pages. I will just hit the highlights. We went to Eddie V’s, for a special occasion, that became a circus, I wasn’t laughing & it wasn’t fun. Bread & butter… nothing special. Seafood soup, lacked depth of flavor & seafood with any taste. Seafood salad came complete with all iceberg lettuce & a crab claw. Yes, enclosed, that chipped my tooth. The grouper & Chilean sea bass, were respectively overcooked & undercooked. The sides, twice baked potatoes, cold & uninviting. Broccollini, cooked correctly & quite nice. Muttilple bottles of wine were orchestrated and served correctly. Service was exceptional, without being overpowering! I can’t emphasize how great the service was, without being overwhelming. Desserts: the banana foster cake & the chocolate molten cake were yummy & correctly prepared. Would I return, oh no! This was a special occasion. The wine & dessert were great, but $ 300.00+ latter, I was not a happy dinner, especially for a special occasion. I still have to pay to get my tooth repaired/replaced… This was quite a costly dinner on my recommendation. What’s a girl to do? Find the establishment that has your favorites & makes them correctly, & doesn’t chip your teeth!!!

I came to Eddie Vs with a group of 6 for a special occasion, and I must say, it is the perfect place for a celebration. We were seated as soon as we arrived, even though the restaurant was pretty busy(7pm on a Friday evening). The server extensively explained the specials of the day, and after describing the fish of the day, even told us what the market price was that day. I really appreciated this because asking what the market price is can be somewhat awkward, don’t you think? Our group started by sharing a couple appetizers. We ordered the Point Judith Calamari, and the pot stickers(filled with shrimp and pork). Both were consumed rapidly and we fought over the last few pieces. I ordered the shrimp and crab chopped salad for my meal and it was great. I give it 4.5 stars. Other members of my party ordered the florida grouper, the north atlantic lemon sole, and the jumbo gulf shrimp from the seafood side, and a couple filet mignons as well. I tasted most dishes, and I think the Lemon Sole wins for the night. It was moist and flavorful and I loved the parmesan topping. We also made it a point to try several different side dishes. We got the Crab Fried Rice(5 stars!), the sautéed sweet corn(best corn I’ve had at a fancy steakhouse ever) and thr truffled mac n cheese(duh). If you are going to pick just one side(I wouldn’t recommend just picking one — go all out), I would suggest the crab fried rice. It was a crowd favorite. Since it was a special occasion, the waiter also sent over a «hot» banana’s foster dessert that was DELICIOUS. Oh, it was also on fire when it was delivered to the table, and we all enjoyed the little presentation. The banana’s foster cake was topped with a butter pecan icecream that went perfectly with the cake and fresh bananas. I always appreciate when a restaurant takes special celebrations into consideration, so this was the perfect end to my Eddie V’s experience.

Came here with some friends to try there happy hour. The place has Jazz band playing at the lounge. drinks are okay and food were great. Just listening to the band makes the time goes fast but enjoyable. A little pricey for the drinks for happy hour but for me it was fine due to the fact that there’s a live Jazz band playing is worth the money. They do have a complimentary valet parking so save yourself finding the spot for parking just do valet parking its all worth it. Our Server was amazing and did a great job. And to top my visit to this place is to see John Cena sitting next to our table. Great experience! Will absolutely come back!
