Dunkin’ Donuts

I had the BEST tasting bacon egg cheese bagel Ever from a DD – ***BUT the atmosphere was sketchy-​the preparer was outside smoking WITH plastic gloves-​cig in hand-​just before he walked back inside. Who knows if he took them off. So I asked a cashier did he take them off-​and he «assured me he changes gloves before he starts preparing food and about every 15 mins or so»… I love dunkin-​I don’t expect to get that creepy feeling I get when I go into a dive or w — e house. & to top it off, I asked for light sugar in my coffee & it tasted like it was regular sugar. Nice guys, but perception is everything.

Since this is a chain, this review is really for their new «croissant donut». This is a standard Dunkin but it’s located inside a gas station (minus for no drive-​thru). Lines can get a little long sometimes but not unbearable. Plus the food comes out really quick.
Garlic bagel toasted with cream cheese is my standard order at any DD. Today I tried their hyped up «croissant donut». I almost didn’t see it in their donut display since it just looks like a regular glazed donut.
I’ve tried cronuts in NYC and this version is definitely not a comparison. It honestly just tasted like a thicker glazed donut. I couldn’t tell the difference. Plus it was $ 2.49! Overpriced! Definitely will not try the croissant donut again. But I will come back to this DD since it’s across the street from work.
