I am definitely a fan! I had a late breakfast here and loved the vibe. It is a small restaurant but it gets a lot of traffic. The staff was very nice. I am a sucker for warm Cuban bread and butter and they sure didn’t skimp on portions.

I’m obsessed with the flavor of their home made hot sauce! Food is very good, the owner is very attentive. If you speak Spanish you’re in better shape with the servers … The papa rellenas are great, their café con leche is on point and we are starting to make it a post church regular spot !

Just discovered this little gem! It’s right on my way to work. I had bacon, egg and cheese on Cuban toast with a café con leche and it was AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to try this place for lunch. The two ladies behind the counter were so friendly and helpful. Definitely going back to this place!!!

So close to being 3 stars as the service was perfunctory at best. Not sure if the owner was just having a bad day or what but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and say 4 stars. The atmosphere is like being at a Miami diner with a strong Latino(mainly Cuban/PR) customer base. The décor and menu has hints of many Latin American countries… Cuban, Puerto Rican, Colombian, Peruvian, etc. There’s a long counter where I ate to take in all the action, as well as 5 – 6 tables. I ordered the Tuesday special — baked chicken with two sides(plantains and yellow rice). Really tasty and tender chicken, plantains(maduros) were soft and the yellow rice was also soft and not oily as it sometimes is at Latin restaurants. And a few pieces of bread. Well-priced at around $ 8. I just had sweet tea to drink(not fresh brewed though, Arizona Iced Tea) though they do have fresh juices. I also had lucuma ice cream which was home-made by a local Tampa company called Piropos. Very good! I would go back just to try their other flavors like guanabana(unfortunately they don’t carry the chirimoya made by Piropos). The whole meal was really good. Just wish the service was friendly and that the place was swept up.

Went to small Latin Café for a quick breakfast. Ordered the Special– scrambled eggs bacon Cuban toast and small café con leche. Toast came out first then the coffee which was more like warm milk with a hint of coffee flavor-very weak – waited at least 15 minutes for the egg and bacon– coffee and toast was now cold. Asked about food and she said«it’s not ready». Finally got cold rubbery eggs and salty bacon. Eggs were not scrambled – obviously poured on a grill and left to cook flat until overdone and not scrambled then left in kitchen until cold. Horrible service and tasteless food. Person I was with got their breakfast about 5 minutes later. I am used to the good Latin food in West Tampa and these people need to learn how to make Latin food and drink if they are truly a Latin Café.

I have been coming here for a few years. It’s not a fancy restaurant. The food is simple and Basic but it’s always been very good, I love there breakfast served until 11am. And it’s has the best Cuban Coffee I have ever had.

They had okay empanadas but the hot sauce was delicious. I got a fountain soda and it tasted very strange…

I showed up here late, close to closing time one afternoon & was quite surprised to find a Cuban restaurant. I love many types of food, but living in Tampa I am quite partial to finding new Cuban establishments. Besides loving Cuban food & sandwiches, I love that most of these establishments also offer breakfast during their entire time open. As I entered the small quaint restaurant, I was pleasantly greeted. The specials were explained to me and the staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. I ended up ordering a bacon, egg & swiss cheese sandwich, pressed warm & toasty for my late lunch. The sandwich was fune, nothing remarkable, but hey, that’s what I ordered. The establishment was closing, yet they did not hurry me, in any fashion. Did I mention that this place is immaculate? I mean shinny clean, immaculate! The café con Leche gave me a nice afternoon pick me up and was quite delicious & expertly prepared. It is hard to give it a fair rating on an egg sandwich & café. I will return for a full meal & I am sure I will add a star or 2. What’s a girl to do? Keep looking for new & exciting places to try their food.

I can only speak for their café con leche and Cuban toast because that’s all I’ve ever had but that’s my favorite and it’s delicious! I usually go first thing in the morning and the service is quick and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place for their café con leche and Cuban toast

I’ve posted a review about this place before that has mysteriously been deleted! Anyways STAYAWAY! I went here for the Piccadillo, black beans, and yellow rice. Their portions were HORRIBLE! and I watched the employees not wash their hands after handling cash(which is one of the dirtiest things you can touch) and then handle my food and other customer’s food. Will not be going back. DIRTYDIRTYDIRTY! P.s– their customer service definitely needs improvement as well.
