Brunch time is best. Make sure you sit outside for a gorgeous bay view and order the French Toast platter. TODIEFOR!!!

Another one I can’t believe I waited so long to try! The view from the patio is spectacular. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing– large portions so we ordered too much, but you could split just about anything you got. Loved the shrimp stack appetizer and the grouper entrée. Ask for either outside seating or something by the window.

From what we have heard, they are closing this location sometime in late spring or summer of 2016. We also heard that they might open a Chart House in Harbor Island after this one closes. That’s a bit too far for us. They also changed the happy hour food and drink selections, much to our dislike. All in all, we would visit Chart House again, if we’re near one!

I came here for happy hour with several co-workers and man, did we enjoy this place. They have a great happy hour! I enjoyed the chicken lettuce wrap and fried mushrooms. They were so tastey! And the portion sizes were good. I also enjoyed the mango moijito(sp?) to drink. It was so refreshing. Our server was great, very attentive. I will definitely be coming here again. Oh yeah, be sure to sit outside when the weather is nice for a great view.

Great ambiance. The bar tender was very attentive, friendly and knew his stuff. We arrived for happy hour and ordered the prime rib sliders and calamari. Both were excellent for the value. Would def come again!

Disappointed– The waiter told us this was the most popular dish so we all ordered the Hemingway snapper. It was dry, the crispy crust was soggy and was flavorless. Reminded me of High liner frozen fish. The service was atrocious– our waiter disappeared for 20 mins at a time, took forever to bring me my salad even though the rest of our table had all their hot appetizers, forgot my side of asparagus, wanted to give us our bill without offering coffee or dessert menus. It was also overpriced and noisy. I wish we’d gone with our second choice; Oystercatchers

My best-friend from childhood is getting married and as her maid of honor and professional event planner it was my role to plan her Wedding Shower. Only catch is I live in New Jersey and the shower had to be in our home town Tampa. My search was discouraging to say the least, I was blindly reaching out to any venue in Tampa with OK reviews and a nice menu. I contacted many places and either they did not call back at all, some did not have the date and others came with a super high finical obligation. I was beginning to think this was not going to happen. Then I reached out to Chart House, and within 10 hours I was in contact with Michael! Michael and his team have gone above and beyond to make my best friends shower PERECT! Right down to offering his personal contact information because my emails were bouncing back when sent to the restaurant account. Whatever I asked he was sure to provide including personally driving to another linen provider to get the perfect shade of Tiffany Blue napkin that I had to have for the table. He was beyond professional, attentive and the key to making sure the operational aspect was seamless and the day of was smooth. Tyler and Arnoando(sp?) our F&B captains for the day were also an important part, they were friendly, helpful, and frankly just a joy to be around. I send them a million THANKYOUS. Lastly, though Lauren was not there day of, in the days leading to and even Friday when I flew in to see the room for the first time a day prior to the shower she was super sweet and informative. Overall Chart House and the team was a dream to work with every step of the way. They made trying to plan an event from another state only a geographical issue because everything was FLAWLESS! Thank you!

Nice setting, informative staff, great service and tasty food. Visited this spot for New Years and will absolutely be back. Very good food with a mix of both healthy and indulgent options. Ideal location, situated on the water. Made for a great date night

I really loved this place. The wait staff knew their stuff, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortably intimate. I began my night with a white sangria(I strongly suggest that) and the table shared 3 different types hummus and a cheese plate. Excellent! For the entrée I got the stuffed shrimp(again I would suggest that). It was stuffed with a crab mixture and served with orzo and the perfect amount of cream sauce. Drip those shrimpies in the sauce! Just do it! Your mouth will thank you, I promise. The chocolate lava dessert has to be ordered 30 minutes before so they can cook it. Order that puppy when you do your entrée and save that dessert pocket in your stomach for this. I know the entrée is great but you’ll want to finish your night this way. All I can say is AMEN! Finally! Someone makes an amazing chocolate lava cake desert! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been disappointed. This time was not one of them. I would’ve licked the plate if it wasn’t socially unacceptable.

Excellent Service and the food was delicious! The atmosphere in the restaurant was spot on, with the location giving a beautiful view of the water… my first impression was a good one. Looking forward to coming back, I hear they have a great happy hour.

Had a great lunch with my family. We sat outside with a view of the bay and causeway. Beautiful weather. We all ordered salads. I had the New York. Wonderfully cooked steak. Wonderful attentive service too. I’ll go back anytime …

Great waterfront setting, lovely, colorful interior and an appealing menu make this a restaurant to recommend. Multiple visits over the years have always been marked by attentive service and tasty food and my most recent visit was no exception. This is a large restaurant so the first choice is always the most difficult — take a seat in the bar, request a table with a window view or opt for the outdoors? These are all good choices but the final decision may depend on your mood as to whether you want to chat with folks in the bar, enjoy wining and dining at an intimate table for too or gather with your group under the sun or stars? The weather may play into that decision as well but those are all good choices. There is always someone ready to greet you as soon as your arrive, seat you and promptly present a menu. The menu changes but seems to consistently offer enticing selections from soups and salads to sandwiches and entrees. The atmosphere is relaxed but the attention to detail is never lax. And that always leaves a good impression but also leaves me wondering what that isn’t so for so many restaurants. This is a great place to enjoy with friends, plan that family get together or suggest to someone from out-of-town who wants to enjoy the views overlooking the water or take in a stunning sunset. And the ambiance is comfortable enough for casual attire to be appropriate but classy enough for business attire or even something a little dressier.

What’s not to like? This location and the décor of the restaurant is outstanding and very visually appealing. I enjoy that there is an outside and inside dining area which caters to all types of groups and gatherings. The paintings and abstract art on the walls are quite beautiful but out rivaled by the beautiful water views of the bay when siting on the patio. On my several visits to this fine dining establishment, I have never been disappointed. The restaurant is versatile I believe, as is suitable for a business lunch or date, a dinner with family, happy hour, a dinner date, or a leisurely evening with friends on the patio in the early afternoon/evening hours when good weather beckons. There is happy hour available in the bar/lounge area as well as the high top tables surrounding the outdoor bar, certainly something worth checking out with friends, or business acquaintances. The restaurant appeals to the older, somewhat more refined crowd. My favorite selections here are seafood, although I have had meat offerings and they are very good as well. Try the lunch short ribs or fish tacos as well as «calamari and friends»(now kim chee calamari) and I feel that you will not be disappointed. On a recent visit for lunch I had the soup trio which was quite good. Dinner items have never disappointed and I I have heard that upon the Chart House’s contract being up, the building will be torn down to develop condominium complexes or something of the sort. I will continue to visit this restaurant until that happens next year(I believe). If you’ve never been I definitely recommend visiting this classy establishment.

Beautiful location for a rehearsal dinner. My friend hosted her rehearsal dinner here. I think it was the perfect location. Easy parking, beautiful water, laid back yet still upscale atmosphere, it was great. They rented out the back of the patio and the back room. We all gathered on the patio and had a beautiful view of the sunset. Then we went inside to eat. I would say we had about 30 people and it was the perfect amount. The back room seemed busy, but not crowded. We started with the caesar salad. Some people didn’t like it because it had a very strong anchovy taste to it. However, I love anchovies so I enjoyed it. Then we had a choice of entrée. All came with Yukon mashed potatoes, which were delicious. I had the beef short rib and it was extremely tasty. We ended with the cheesecake, which was rich and creamy. Overall I found the food impeccable. I would definitely suggest this place for an event.

Came for happy hour and loved all of the specials they had. We ordered the truffle fries, hummus and lettuce wraps and really liked everything. I want to go back to try their brunch.

Decent happy hour and great view! As a happy hour enthusiast it’s hard to find one that I haven’t already hit in Tampa. I typically shy away from chain restaurant(totally love supporting local business) but am glad I gave this place a shot. It’s a pretty central location with ample parking. Very fun energetic blues and greens make up the crisp décor. Happy hour is served at the bar, in the adjoining lounge area and also on the patio if you sit at a high top, which you want to do because the view is great! The drinks weren’t as strong as I would like but the food was flavorful and prepared very well. Definitely try the fried artichokes super yum! If you want a chill happy hour that you can relax with a friend and enjoy a sunset without going all the way to the beach this is your place.

The Chart House has a great happy hour, so I encourage you to give it a try. The only complaint that I had was that a girlfriend and I were strictly there for apps and drinks, and the server kept hounding us to order entrees. Then when we finally told him we were good with the 3 apps we had, he was dismissive and seemed annoyed. Oh well, maybe he was having a bad night. We had the hummus app, the crab stack(deliciously different layers of flavor) and the calamari. I would definitely go back for a cool night on the patio for cocktails. Note: They have a great outside bar and patio area that would make a wonderful spot for a Company Event.

I returned to the Chart House for a work dinner. The wait staff was very friendly. They were a little overwhelmed with the dinner service. I get that handling a room with 50 diners is tough, but you should bring the steak knives before the main course, not 10 minutes after serving the main course. The house salad was generic. The prime rib was under seasoned, and it was room temperature by the time I got the steak knife. Cheesecake was completely forgettable. The location is beautiful, and this is a nice place to visit for a drink after work. But the food isn’t great, so I’d probably move on for dinner.

I always seek out a Chart House when I travel. We sat outside on a nice night with a view of downtown Tampa across the water. Perfect. I had a cup of Clam Chowder, and my friend had the«Best of Soups» — a sampling of 3 of their soups. We both liked these. I remember chowder being a smaller serving on previous visits at other locations, and this filled me up a bit too much. I could barely touch my dinner and dessert. I had the mixed grill with salmon, crab cake, and shrimp scampi. The salmon was the best! I followed that with the Chocolate Lava Cake, which you have to order with your meal, because it takes a while to prepare. It was so sad, I had no room for it and only picked at it. My friend did not help. Ha-ha! I would also recommend the encrusted mahi mahi. It’s delicious!
