This is an historic Tampa building. The guilds associated with Centro work diligently to raise funds for restoration and maintenance. This can only be accomplished with people supporting CA by joining the CA or one of the associated guilds, attending the CA events or renting the facilities. In other words, put your money where your mouth is and support CA. Negative reviews by negative people are not helpful. It is interesting that someone who lives in Ruskin — Ruskin! would complain about the safety of their children at CA? Really? Additionally, to give CA a low rating for an event that was not sponsored by CA(1÷15÷15); but by someone who rented the facility, is beyond comprehension. Over the last 5 years, every CA sponsored event I have attended at CA has been of good quality and very reasonable.

It’s a beautiful old building that needs about a million dollars of restoration inside. We attended a teen party in the lower level of the building. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my kid there unfortunately because of the neighborhood & all the trashy people milling around. It’s just too bad, the old homes in the area are huge — it must have been a great neighborhood once. I feel sorry for the ppl who own the building and try to rent it. To be fair we didn’t have any problems while there.

Probably one of the worst events I’ve ever attended. The event was not ready for the 7pm opening. The bar wasn’t finished being set up, the art was not all hung, the models were getting hair and make up find in the event space, and there was no seating. An hour into the event, still no food. When we finally were allowed into the buffet line, we were served dry salad — no dressing, pasta with Italian dressing, pulled pork, some kind of very dry slider size meat, dry fried chicken? nuggets, raw chicken thighs, egg rolls, and a diced chicken and potato something. No one could tell us what anything was. The one food server said, it wasn’t his food. The comedian was not funny, and the models were walking on a dangerous runway.
