Casa Mexicana

The truck outside was closed until 4pm so we decided to eat in. The restaurant was empty. The chips and the salsa were really bad. They should just skip that all together in this case. We ordered the bistec a la Mexicana and 2 tacos (1 chicken and 1 carnitas). The tacos were just okay. We ordered them plain and loaded them ourselves (they have a little condiments area) with cilantro, onions and the sauces. They were still just okay. The bistec plate was no good. The tortillas that came with it were soggy, the meat was CHEWY, the salad wasn’t fresh, the rice and the beans were blah. The meat was so chewy that the person I was sharing the dish with had to get up to go to the bathroom to spit out the meat. That’s pretty bad. I’m also not a fan of restaurants that have Unilocal offers they know nothing about. When I showed the waitress the 2 free taco offer (for checking in to Unilocal) she was like, huh? Basically I didn’t get my free tacos. The tamarindo juice was watered down.
I wouldn’t recommend and I won’t be back.

Get 2 Free Tacos if ya check in. The Steak burritos are soooo Good the steak was So Tender!!! I will deffff be back. but I cannot tell a lie tho, The very best burrito Ive Ever had was in Rockford Illinois @ Mi Ranchito. omg there to die for!!! #Huge

downgraded after second time. got the carnitas burrito. the meat was good but the burrito wasn’t on par with Pollo Garden. chips were very salty… service also dipped with different waitress… will need to try again
