What an amazing shop this is. My wife, kids and I visited for today’s small business Saturday and we ended up buying a fantastic outdoor bench and some nick-nacks for our kitchen. The girls and my wife bought some fantastic beaded jewelry. When we went to pick up the bench we ended up buying a side table. The staff are super accommodating and our days of shopping at Pier One are over. We will be shopping at Bali Bay Trading Co. again very soon. Mostly for furniture and some early Christmas gifts.

I LOVE this store! I finally pulled over to spend time exploring this enticing storefront that I had passed by in a car so many days on Florida Ave. I make jewelry so I was in heaven with the amazing and huge variety of beads that Bali Bay carries. Love all of the Indonesian influence, the beads are organized by color, which makes it so easy to shop and the prices are extremely fair. I love the sets they offer too. You pick a necklace, bracelet and earring set for $ 20, they make awesome gifts. I usually purchase beads to make my own creations but they had such pretty pieces that I ended up just purchasing and keeping many jewelry sets to wear as is. I can shop for beads all day so it was hard to make time for all of the other things Bali Bay offers like clothing, furniture, home décor, etc. Very cute store and a great staff that was super helpful with all of my questions! Love it! I’ll be back!

The Bali Bay store is amazing. All of the furniture is made from repurposed wood and is imported from Bali Indonesia. The furniture will lend a look of antique elegance to your home. The pieces also esthetically pleasing, very functional, and great conversation pieces. The staff is friendly and will be happy to assist you in finding the right piece for you.

I have lived in the Seminole heights area for about 12 years. During this time, I have visited Bali Bay on a random basis. Until recently, I thought they still only carried furniture. Friends were throwing a luau and I needed an outfit. I stumbled into Bali Bay and found a wonderful surprise! Racks of beautiful clothing, shoes and walls of beaded jewelry. Feeling slightly over whelmed by the task at hand, Deidra came to my rescue. She lead me threw the different styles of dresses, pants and shirts. She put together several different outfit options with matching jewelry. Honestly I wanted one of everything but this just gives me many reasons to return. Loved it!

For several years I ran an EBay store that featured tropical items and Bali Bay’s sarongs were a big hit particularly with the resort and cruiseship vacationer, looking for something colorful and unique. Since price was a key in that business, I did not cover heavier items and more expensive clothing. Good service and hard work. The import business is not easy and the Chinese are all over the Pacific trading field.

So, in the years I have been away this place has morphed a bit. They’ve added a whole huge freaking room full of cloth stuff and bead stuff… I’m a fan of the furniture and building bits myself… although the prices have gone up considerably from where they used to be. Still some very cool stuff though. Only bummer — they close at 5 on Saturday, and if you show up at closing, they really don’t want you to buy anything, they really want you to go away and not come back. Thats kinda offputting. I still like the place, but I would never kick a potential sale out the door.
