Waitress was the nicest server I have ever met at an APPLEBEES location. She was great will my toddler, and spent an extra minute at our table talking to him. Would definitely recommend coming to this location and asking for Shaunna S!

I enjoy visiting this @Applebees because the food at this location is always very good, and the service is always excellent! Of similar-​concept chains, Applebee’s is by far my favorite. Their menu has many more appealing-​to-​me items than most other American-​style restaurants (I’m incredibly picky, but not in a health-​conscious way). Plus, they often add new menu items!
Don’t expect gourmet food, or even precisely cooked-​to-​order food… for example, my burger wasn’t as pink as hubs was on our Friday night visit, even though we’d both ordered ours «pink». But my burger was still quite delicious! However, the bun was not interesting. Actually, I considered removing it because it was so unpleasant. But the beef had an excellent flavor! And I loved the fried egg on my All-​Day Brunch Burger — simply amazing. Overall, that was a delicious burger!
Their Happy Hour has many great deals. On this Friday night visit, I chose a giant Blackberry Sangria for $ 7 and loved it. Hubs got an even better value with his 16oz Bud Light for $ 6. BOGO ocktails are great here, too. And as an appetizer or bar snack, I highly recommend their Green Bean Crispers. I think they’re new. I could’ve made a meal of those, with maybe a side salad. We also like their mozzarella sticks but haven’t ordered those in a while. And, don’t forget, their appetizers are half-​price after 10pm.
We’ve always received very attentive service here, which can really *make* the experience. Note, they have special nights like karaōke & trivia, plus a DJ on some nights. I haven’t been to any of those, but only because I’m old & in my PJs early. They also show games & live current events on the TV in the bar area. We’ll definitely visit this Applebee’s location again because it’s a consistently great experience.

Typical Applebees quality of food. Waitress was very speedy with orders and made sure everyone had everything they needed (coming back repeatedly to make sure everything tasted good & all sauces & drinks were there) will certainly visit again.

Having just finished Christmas shopping at Citrus Park
Mall my sister and I opted to eat a late dinner outside the mall and chose Applebee’s on Sheldon figuring it was a safe bet. We saw the two star ratings and brushed it off since we’ve had great experiences at Applebee’s in Oldsmar and near Home Depot on US 19 in Palm Harbor.
Our waitress was cheery and prompt at first. I ordered sweet tea but it didn’t taste fresh so she made a few suggestions. I decided on something else, Irish coffee.
It took a while to get it and we hadn’t even ordered. After the server left I noticed the coffee was stone cold. It took a while till she returned, but she gratefully thanked me for pointing it out but took another 10 minutes or so to return.
Finally order two hamburgers infused with mushrooms and topped with swiss cheese, very delicious. The sweet potato fries were good just not hot. The Cole slaw needs a redo. Blah. Add some slaw dressing, anything.
I like Applebee’s and their 2 for $ 20 seemed interesting. We were disappointed. This store needs to step it up. After all it’s about prompt service, warm food and warm drinks at the very least. There are so many restaurants we could have chosen.

Went yesterday for lunch. Service was terrible. Waitress was short & ignored us. My dad ordered ribs and somehow they were BURNT. My burger arrived last by the time everyone else’s meal was finished because she was waiting for fries. Again my burger was burnt. imagined it was under the warmer while the cooked some fries. Worst $ 50 I’ve ever spent prompting me to review. Place sucks, go to Chilis or Burger King right next door to this Applebee’s.

Came in with family on a slow Monday afternoon. There were probably about 10 to 14 people in the restaurant total. Our server was pleasant and that’s where the positivity ends. The music would be better suited for Mons Venus or somewhere in Ybor. One of the AC units was broke, there were ants all over the booth near the window and the tea was sour to start off with. It took way too long for the food to come out for as busy as the place was and when it did not all of I came at the same time and honestly it just wasn’t very good at all. We’ve lived in this area for 15 years and have watched this Applebee’s go downhill to help point that we are never coming back. Seems to me that they have deadbeats for managers and the kitchen staff is probably more of an asylum. They need to gut this place and put something new and improved here.

there is a litte girl that works there named halie derr. she is the worst server ever. nothing but a little snotnose and cant handle her job. keep here off your service floor she does nothing for your business.

I went to Applebee’s tonight for the ½ off appetizers. My boyfriend and I shared four appetizers and the couple we were with shared 3. We really enjoyed the food, but the wait time was far too long. Although that is not the reason I knock off three stars. It was a Saturday night so I understood that the kitchen may have been backed up, yet I couldn’t get over how awful my waitress, Kayley, was. I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but her attitude towards my friends and I was extremely short and quite rude. We went out of our way to be nice to her (thinking she may have had a rough night) and she was just discourteous. She barely spoke with us and when she did acknowledge us, she acted genuinely annoyed by our presence. I was trying to go out and have a good night with some friends and her service put a damper on the whole experience. She gave us dirty plates and I didnt even feel comfortable asking her for new ones because she made us feel so uncomfortable and as if we were bothering her. Being 20 years old I understand how some servers may not be to enthusiastic to serve a table of young adults due to so many people my age being impolite or not tipping well, but Ive never experienced a server have such a poor attitude. I was a server so I understand, but I also know how important it is to have a good attitude, even if you have to fake it. After her disrespectful demeanor I still had full intentions on leaving a good tip, until she threw the checks on the table and left without saying a word. She seemed maybe irritated that we used a gift card, thinking we wouldnt tip? I’m not sure of any of her reasons for acting the way she did, but I will not be returning to that location.

The To Go service is on time approximately never. That aside, the food is consistent and fairly decent for the price. I love their pretzel appetizer they introduced. If you plan to order To Go, just expect it to be at least 10 minutes late with no apology.

I looked everywhere for the rubber tree that they grow the steaks on. However couldn’t find it. If you like salty rubbery steak get the Bourbon Street. when i complained the manager said that happens sometimes but did not take off the check. service functional and ok. last time soup was cold.

Good food and service was good. Waiting time however wasn’t the greatest. Server was great thought.

Great place to come to if you want a night out or just don’t feel like making dinner. The atmosphere here is pretty nice depending on the night you go yet may be doing different things. For example Wednesday I ladies night but it’s also karaōke, so it’s not the best night to go there if you plan on talking to anyone at your table.
The service here is good. For the times I have come here the servers have always come to refill drinks and make sure our food is good. Although it takes some time to get our orders in, the food and drinks come back in a timely manner.
If it was a choice between Applebee’s and some other place I’d prolly choose Applebee’s because now they have 241 on drinks all day!
All in all I’d come back again on a lazy day.

Been awhile since I had been back to an Applebee’s restaurant. Sat in the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. Actually had the bar tender and another server waiting on me. Had the french onion soup. Very good with plenty of cheese. Also had an speciality appetiser which were island style wings for $ 3.95. They were terrible all the way around and would not suggest to anyone ordering these. They were dry and very tasteless. Otherwise I had a pita burger that was excellent and perfectly prepared. The burger came with perfectly cooked fries. All in all I was inpressed and certainly would have graded the restaruant another star upward if the chicken wing appetizer would have been better.

Kaydee our server was great! The two for one drinks weren’t bad either. Very spot on with the service. A little salty on the food, but that was the chef. Had a fantastic time.

Much to our surprise after reason all of the previous reviews we had a good experience. We went there because we had gift cards we needed to use.
I had to ding them a star just due to the fact there was no one up front to greet and seat us. Upon seating ourselves I had to grab menus and my husband counted 4 people that walked by us with no acknowledgement.
Both salads were good. We ate both to completion. The Manager Vince stopped by our table. Our waitress was nice and checked on us several times.

WORST PLACE EVER:
I am honestly 100% disappointed in how bad the food quality has been. Not only was my pasta dry but it had no flavors to it whatsoever. The amount of food you guys serve here has diminished and this is not quality food and definitely NOT a restaurant I would EVER recommend coming back to. In regards to the bread of the three cheese penne pasta, this is the FOURTH time the food comes without it and the size of the bread is the size of my hand. Let alone the fact that the bread tasted like it was made hours ago if not days. My friend had the most disgusting meal ever here as well. I don’t know whether to call her meal Ribs and Fries or Bones and Burnt. Your two for twenty menu deserves a 2 for $ 5 quality. I am extremely disappointed in the horrible changes this restaurant has provided. We had a third friend who is 22 and $ 8 for a long Island that had more ice than alcohol in it did not satisfy him whatsoever. To top things off your staff mocked our whole entire table. Never again.

I just learned something new! Wednesday’s at Applebee’s is Ladies Day. Ok, your asking, what does that mean and why are men left out again.
Well, why men are omitted is obvious, if men were included, it wouldn’t be Ladies Day. Ladies Day on Wednesday means females get a smaller portion of any of the appetizers offered on the 3 item appetizer assortment for only $ 3.00 per appetizer.
Hearing this bargain, I had to try an appetizer and see if it wet my appetite.
It was cool last night, so I choose a favorite of many, the hot spinach, artichoke and cheese with tortilla chips. What a mistake. The first thing I noticed upon inspection was it was ¾ cup and a lot of chips, so financially a good move. My second observation was, where is the cheese? I am a lady that takes her cheese quite seriously and it was hard to find, the disappointment set in. There was steam coming off the dish, so I held out hope.
Upon tasting the dish, the hope was in vain. A grossly unseasoned dish of basically a strange semi creamed spinach. What a let down! When bagged chips taste better than the food, that is bad.
The reason for 2 stars is my relationship with the restaurant itself and usually being able to get a decent meal.
What’s a girl to do? I will fearlessly continue to persue my love of good food!

Sunday night and I was looking for a place to grab some dinner before heading home to tackle an especially large pile of laundry. My delightful Unilocal friend, Jennifer T., shared a recent online app designed to help you locate nearby eateries, and so I clicked on
to find a nearby dining choice.
After a few chuckles due to the recommendations of the app, I settled on Applebee’s — that quintessential neighborhood bar & grill serving a wide variety of casual sit-​down American classic lunches and dinners. This particular location sits at the intersection of Linebaugh Avenue and Sheldon Road, just outside the main entrance to the Westchase subdivision in NW Hillsborough county.
Despite the jokes about soccer Mom’s and golfer Dad’s, this Applebee’s does seem to cater to the families of Westchase with their adorable screaming children. Later at night the families thin out, and the hard-​core sports fans and heavy drinkers take their seats at the bar. It’s a fascinating crowd with lots of good people-​watching potential.
I grabbed a high-​top in the bar area to watch some baseball and order a small steak. Applebee’s has lot of dinner specials, and they’ve added a healthy dining section to their menu. They have a 9 oz. sirloin that came with steamed broccoli and roasted potatoes, and I added a small house salad for the up charge. The food was good, and the waitress was very attentive, so nothing negative to say about this relatively ordinary place to eat and drink.
I always get a chuckle out of the late-​night pick up action in places like Applebee’s, which has always made me wonder about their old slogan, «Feeling good in the neighborhood!»

Ok, I love this place. We all know that the potato crisps come out burnt EVERY time. Why even bother when you can order a Veggie Patch Pizza off the menu? The specials this place offers combined with the Veggie Patch makes it indispensable.

Not too much to say about chain restaurants, but I will confess that AppleFLEAS has become a favorite of mine in recent months. Reason being, at 10 PM their appetizers go on sale for half price. You can easily eat tapas styles for dirt cheap. I’ve been eating at this loacation for 6 – 7 years now and service has always been great.
Tip: e sure to order the VEGGIE PATCH PIZZA. It’s no longer on the menu, but they can still make it.
