This place being the only one place in all of Tampa Bay that is a dealer for already shows that they stand out from the crowd. I drive 40 minutes to this place to get my keys done, the service is absolutely amazing, all of the guys working there are very knowledgeable, they have everything one might need in regards to keys safes locks etc.

First, a bit of information for those shopping for safes. What most safe stores sell, and online stores sell, are not safes; they are boxes that look big and strong, have a ton of bolts coming out of the door but will have a little sticker somewhere that says they’re classified by UL as a residential security container(RSC). To get the ULRSC sticker, an enclosure must only resist an attack with hammer and small crow bar for five minutes. If the person has a large pry bar, a pick axe, etc., and especially if they are able to get to the side or back or knock the safe on the ground so the door is facing up, they will gain access to an RSC easily. So, when shopping, just consider an RSC an RSC; it doesn’t matter if it has 85 bolts in the door where the lower model for a few hundred less ‘only’ has 25 bolts; they’re all easily defeated by a determined attacker, so save your money and get the lower model since the higher one isn’t buying you anything additional in reality. If you truly need a safe because you have belongings of very high value, then you want a safe with a UL rating of TL-15, TL-30 or above. These ratings mean that, with the design plans for the safe in hand and a selection of any tools(minus torches or explosives) they want to use, UL could not penetrate the safe with either 15 or 30 minutes of time where tools were actually touching the safe(i.e. the clock stops when they take a break to study the plans again or catch their breath). These are true safes and will stop nearly anyone. The downside is that due to the materials required, they are extremely heavy, so if you need it upstairs in a wood frame home, or possibly even on a 4″ garage slab if not reinforced, you may not be able to accommodate the weight of a TL15+ safe as big ones get into the 3000+ pound range. Okay, that being said, Action Lock & Safe is great. They sell all types of safes in all types of sizes, from RSC’s up to whatever you need, even if it’s something crazy like a TRTL-30 rated safe which can withstand 30 minutes of attack with a cutting torch and all the other tools. They offer optional in-house delivery and will even bolt the safe to the floor for you if you want them to. I’ve used them for both types of safes(RSC’s and actual safe’s), have used them for an in-home delivery and just a curbside, which is free, and have been very happy with them both times. Their staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
