Smokin’ Rib Shack 2

One of our family’s favorite BBQ places to eat. My 12 year old son often asks to go there when he is hungry. We eat there at least 2 times a month. The chicken is moist and tender, with that great BBQ sauce-​FINGER LICKING GOOD! The sides are a great deal with the meal. We have enjoyed the baked beans, cole slaw, potatoe salad, mac and cheese and fries many times over. The best part is the bread hiden under the meat, waiting for you to dig in and sop up all the delicious sauce. It is usually empty when we go, which is good for us, we get our food faster! Stop by and enjoy some great BBQ!

So me and my wife walked into this place for lunch today and it was like ghost town! When I asked the guy behind the counter where was everybody he responded, «I was about to ask you the something.» I then asked him what was his favorite thing on the menu and he hesitated… He told us that he really don’t eat here but continued to tell us what’s the popular items. We wasn’t sure if we were in the right place or not. He then tell us that if this BBQ wasn’t the best we ever had, he would refund us our money back. Can we say cocky??? LETS JUST SAY, WE DIDNT GET OUR MONEY BACK. Actually while sitting there eating my wife decided that she no longer wanted to cook dinner tonight and we will be eating BBQ again later. It was just that good. The guy checked on us half way through our meal and actually sat down and talked to us. Major plus in our book for we wasn’t expecting that out of this fast food/​restaurant atmosphere. He told us this was an family owned/​operated business which now explains why he don’t eat here. He’s been eating it his whole life. They have been open here almost a year and a half and that this is their second location. How come we didn’t know about this place? Very nice and knowledgeable guy. I’m not sure why there isn’t a line out the door. Great prices!!! Great food!!! Great customer service!!! Oh and let’s not forget CLEAN! Let’s support this family owned business.

We have eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed! Their pulled pork and chopped beef are delicious! They have collard greens which we love, and their Mookie’s Mac and cheese is well worth the stop. The staff are always SUPER friendly and ready to serve.

Great BBQ with great specials and sides (seriously try the collards!) The meat is fall off the bone good and the place is consistent. Just be sure to order ahead of time on game day, I have a feeling these guys stay pretty busy!

This 2pm Saturday adventure ended us up here when we saw its 4 star review and our taste buds agreed on bbq! Wasn’t busy at all and so we took our time and picked out what we wanted to order. I asked what he recommended and he said he eats everything (typical) but he added right now he’s digging the ribs.
I got the chopped pork & ribs combo that came with 2 sides for $ 9.50. Sides– baked beans and Mac and cheese.
He went back to prepare our food. Quickly we were served at the table and he was super polite, quiet, and kind. Halfway through the meal, he came over to check on us and asked how it was. Excellent customer service.
Shortly after we began yo eat, this same man went outside and put pork and ribs on the smoker in the parking lot. =)

Would never come back here again. The food here was terrible. The chopped beef has absolutely no flavor and the sausage tasted like anything you’d by a the store. The sides were equally unimpressive. Presentation-​wise, many of the tables were still dirty and there was nobody in there when I came in the last afternoon. Everyone else’s pictures looked good and the place looked real promising from past reviews — especially the Mac n Cheese. It looked delicious in other people’s photos but mine didn’t taste good at all. Maybe the quality has gone down since they were posted — I dunno.

Best barbeque east of Texas. THE MEAT FALLS RIGHT OFF THE BONE. The sides are also very good. The mac and cheese is homemade and excellent. My father who is a very picky eater loved his chicken sandwich. It is a family owned business and deserves your support.

Food is amazing and the prices great! We weren’t actually sure if they were still open because they do not have much of a social media presence. Called to make sure they were and are so glad we gave them shot. Our group of 6 all tried something different — and every meal was delicious.

Tried this place last night. It was completely dead on a Friday night which made me a little leary but what the heck. Place was very clean. Décor was very «Palm Harbory». That is to say maybe a little uppity for a bbq shack. Rib dinner was 10 bucks and came with two sides. Very reasonable I thought especially when I saw the monster portion of ribs. They were cooked to perfection! Collard greens and homemade mac and cheese were both fantastic! I’ll be back here no doubt.

Amazing food. You can’t go wrong here, best bbq within 50 miles easy. I had the combo dinner with ribs and wings with mac and baked beans.

Been there once & the food was good, sides dishes good, ribs were great till the end piece was like chewing on beef jerky, I have not been back since.

First time here. Very cool to have in Palm Harbor. I got the chicken and pork. It was fantastic. I’m a little disappointed I got all beans and no greens when I got home. I will have to go back tonight for the collard greens and Mac and cheese that wasn’t ready. I suggest checking the order before you leave but the food is incredible!

Great Ribs and great owner! I love BBQ and travel all over the Country and had some of the best BBQ around I’ll put his ribs up against the big boys any day! Stop in and give a try you won’t be disappointed!

Good service and awesome value. Had the beef sandwich which is beef brisket. Will be coming back soon.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The ribs were so tender the meat fell of the bone. I am a collard freak and their collard greens are above average! The restaurant is extremely clean and the service was great, Brit was so helpful! Great addition to the plaza!

Delicious all around! We just had the pulled pork, chicken and a half-​slab of ribs — each was excellent. We have been searching for a BBQ place in the Tarpon Springs and happened to see this place. Very friendly people working there also.

Great ribs at a great price… the customer service is EXCELLENT! One of my favorite BBQ establishments… The food comes in a foam to-​go container whether you eat in or head out, so it is a good idea for on the go… take to a picnic, etc… 3 TV’s are located in the seating area, which is always kept very clean.
The ribs are tender and juicy all the way through, try the Johnny Mack sauce it is very tasty and flavorful (you can opt to have it on the side) it does enhance the flavor of the meats without being overwhelming. The collard greens and baked beans are amazingly good. I’m a big fan of the wings… I have to try the pulled chicken next time around… yes this spot is worth repeating.
They also cater to almost any event…

This is my go to spot for last minute dinners and quick lunches. The décor is generic and lacks character but the food is great. The staff is friendly and the restrooms are clean. I am big on restrooms in a restaurant if the restroom isn’t clean it makes me question other things but this one is clean.
So back to the food the Ribs fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. The chicken wings are flavorful and the portions are large. I spent $ 28 and my brother and I had lunch, dinner later on, and a lunch the next day. Can’t Beat that with a stick. I definitely recommend this place. Oh the Pulled pork sandwich is huge.

Not our first choice for dinner on this Saturday night, but since our first choice was SUPER busy, we decided to give this place a go. There were 2 couples inside, one sitting and eating, the other waiting for their order to go.
We walked in, and took a moment to familiarize ourselves with the menu. I asked what was good, and got the standard answer of «everything» and then I was told what was popular, such as their Pulled Pork, pulled chicken and their greens. Taking those things into consideration, I ordered the Pulled pork diner — 2 sides being the cole slaw and potato salad. The husbeast had the Pulled beef with Cole Slaw and french fries and my friend who was joining us had the sausage dinner with 2 sides of their greens.
Since it wasn’t busy, we had the undivided attention, which pretty much included table service and everything. We asked for our sauce on the side, and it was given. There is no. choice of sauces, it is only Daddy Mack’s sauce, which is light, kind of sweet, with no tang. It’s good but it’s not Spectacular, and they will sell a 32ox bottle to you for $ 6.99.
The food was tasty, well the meat was. The Pulled Pork was tender, a bit on the dry side. The beef was flavorful and the smoked sausage was standard Keilbasa. As for the sides. The fries were hands down the best thing we sampled. The cole slaw and potato salad were institutional — i’m not even kidding. They were store bought and getting close to ending their cycle of freshness. And the greens were Ok.
I’d come back, but not often.
