I’ve been very happy with my visits to Dr. Fu Di’s office. He and his staff are kind and knowledgeable. Treatment has always helped me and I have visited for various reasons. Great office I would absolutely recommend.

I’ve seen Dr Fu 6 times over a period of a few months. He is kind, knowledgeable and very professional. His offices are spacious and clean. His fees are reasonable. His staff is well-trained and respect him greatly. I know. I’ve spoken with them. Should traditional medicine not be doing the job for you, I’d advise scheduling an appointment with his office.

The receptionist laughed at me when I asked some basic questions about the acupuncturist before scheduling my appointment. I asked, «is he a Doctor of Acupuncture?(there are different certification levels with«Physician of Acupuncture» being the highest.) Insert laughter and condescending tone from receptionist«He teaches acupuncture!». I asked her again what his certification level is(more laughter), she repeated in a more exaggerated voice, «he has been doing acupuncture forever!» Okay, she doesn’t know the answers and likes to laugh at people who ask intelligent questions.uhg. When I scheduled my appointment, the receptionist told me that I should plan on 1.5 hours because the first appointment is always longer since the doctor takes a careful history and spends more time with first time patients. The cost for the initial consult and treatment is $ 90 and herbs(if prescribed) are an additional $ 30-$ 40. The office was a thirty minute drive for me so I left early to make sure I was on time. Once there, I waited another 40 minutes past my appointment time before seeing Dr. Fu Di. The office is fairly spartan and noisy. Every conversation from every room can be heard in every other room. There is no music or spa like«healing» environment that is common in many acupuncture clinics. This place is more like a doctors office, but with less privacy. Cell phones and front desk phones are ringing and lots of hustle and bustle. The clinic was busy. I went there on a Friday afternoon. Finally, Dr. Fu Di came in and began his exam. He looked at my tongue and felt my pulse and asked a series of questions about my chief complaint and health history. He prescribed some herbs and quickly placed 5 acupuncture needles in my ear(ear acupuncture is a lower form of acupuncture) and told me to wear them for an hour before taking them out. All in all, he was with me for about 15 minutes. The initial visit was complete and I was directed back to the receptionist to pay the $ 125 bill. I went to take out the needles an hour later and my ear was quite bloody. I guess he nicked a vein somehow and it had been dripping into my ear canal. I’ve had quite a bit of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture over the years and this was the most disappointing experience I have had. I won’t be going back. Is this review helpful? I have been struggling with health issues since having major surgery in October 2006. I have seen 3 acupuncutre doctors already, 2 neurologists, the surgeon, a chiro, and a massage therapist. Today was my first visit with Dr. Fu Di, so I am not sure how long it will take to feel better, but he did give me hope. I feel that so far, he has more accurately diagnosed what is going on in my body than anyone else. He was a MD in China and I feel he is also quite intuitive. Not a price gouger either like some that I have found that tell you they must see you three times a week. His office has moved to Tamarac, but the phone number is the same. I am feeling very positive about my experience with him and hope that I am on my way to feeling better!
