Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant & Bakery

I really like the vibes at this location. It’s huge and the staff is friendly. I’m pretty limited in what I get since I’m vegetarian so I usually get the soy or veggie patty. They have a wide variety of pastries. I walked in for breakfast and got a soy party and a cup of coffee for $ 3.13! Amazing!
The soy is spicy and HOT and the crust is flaky. I have been sitting here people watching before heading out to my next appointment and I feel like I’m in a different world. Warm and friendly people.
Give them a try! I’m sure after eating their breakfast you will have energy to last the day!

Im sorry but this is one of the best locations. I’m mean great customer service and the facility is very clean and spacious. The jerk chicken is the best I have tasted thus far. I ordered the whole chicken ($ 16.00) and two sides of large rice and a chocolate cake for only $ 22.00. It fed a 6 people. They could get a five star if the food was more consistent. But when it’s good it’s soooooooo good.

I was quite impressed with the layout of this golden krust, the staff was efficient and professional. I had the jerk chicken with rice with a beef patty. Yum! I’ve been to a few of their other locations, but I like this location very much.

I came to GK Tuesday night and bought a small curried goat and white rice etc etc. Arrived home, broke it out, it was all goat fat, bones and tons of gravy. And the food was cold. And bland! But I ate it bc I was starving!
Fast forward to yesterday, I went to Snappers on Commercial and 441 and bought the same thing. It was like night and day. I don’t know if Snappers bought up all the meat so when the GK people went to buy up the goat there was nothing left but bone and fat, but it sure looked that way. And it actually tasted good.
So my advice would be to whoever cooks the food at GK, to take yourself over to Snappers, or even your grandmother’s kitchen, and re-​learn how to make goat. And any other dish you need brushing up on. As it stands right now, your goat is rather disappointing.
BTW, i’m not trashing your restaurant. After all you do have rice with greens in it. So that’s kinda fancy…

I am giviing 4 stars instead of 5, because the service was the typical slow pace as expected. Ordered the oxtail with rice & peas and the flavour was great. Also got 4 spicy beef patties which are ok, but got those for the heck of it. Will definitely be back to this location.

Bun and cheese lovers this the place for 3.00 nice slice of cheese between so nice chunks of bun. FYI go early bun goes fast.

The servers rush when taking orders. Food is cold, taste is just ok. The place is some what clean

I go here when I want Jamaican, always get the jerk pork. Food is always fresh and very nice portions. If all you want is a snack the patties are made fresh all day

Looooong line at lunch time; luckily, the line was moving rather quickly. We had the $ 4.99 curry chicken lunch speical, half lbs of jerk pork and pea soup. The curry chicken was very flavorful and fresh. The jerk pork was juicy, flavorful with right amount of seasonings. Just an FYI, for $ 4.99, the lunch special even includes a can of soda and it is served all day long. With the quality of the food, no wonder the line was long. Worth a try if you are in the area!

First visit to this location. Clean, lots of seating. Of the usual menu choices, I selected Curry Goat, which was tender and spicy. Huge portion of rice. Plantains were hard and dry so I tossed those. Servers weren’t particularly welcoming, appeared to be going through the motions, not thrilled to be at work.

Really good food and massive portions. The oxtail on rice was wonderful tasting. Very nice and clean inside. Only downside was the servers are VERY softspoken so its hard to hear them but they are nice. Id recommend for a lunch or dinner.

I love this place. I go to the one in Pembroke pines. I get the jerk pork and it never disappoints. The portions are 95% consistent every time I go there. The jerk chicken is good, and it’s bang for the buck. Thanks GKC.
