A Chau Nails Supply

Really 3.5, losing a half point due to not having the nail color I craved (Essie-​Punchy Pink).
But I must agree with the previous Unilocaler to review. Essie is running for 8 bucks every where else! I’m not from FL just came to visit the fam and party for New Years. I’ve been Unilocaling my way around South Florida and have yet to be dissapointed.
I typed Essie in the search on the hunt for the super hot pink to mAtch NYE outfit. I stumbled upon Chau’s and while a bit tricky to find, tuck in a secret corner of the plaza next to Nail place and baseball card shop. Though they did not have the super hot pink & Essie price went up to $ 4.95, still a steal, they did have the super limited edition Mint Candy Apple color everyone is sold out of. I also bought 300 crystals to bedazzle my manicure for $ 6.00. Not a bad experience & I will return on my next trip to FL.

This place saved me from my mother’s future guilt trips on my tastes for luxury:
Me: Mom, so I got treated to a nice birthday gift by my bf, I got a spa pedicure at the Delano!
Mom: Wah… how much?
Me: $ 50…but it was really nice and pretty inside, the lady did a great job! See! Look! [wiggle toes]
Mom: Waah, how much?! You crazy?! Your cousin could have done it for free, you know! Why you gotta act so rich, eh?!
Me: Err…
Mom: Tsk, tsk, I know where you can buy that same nail polish for cheap! I show you next time.
And with that, gents and ladies, Mom showed me how I could prolong my $ 50 pedicure [which was holding up nicely a MONTH after I got it done – love, love, love the Delano’s Agua Spa!] by visiting A Chau Nails Supply, a wholesale nail supply depot that caters to the nail technicians. This place tickles my budget fashionista sensibilities because I scored with brand name nail polish at industry prices here. I’m talking Essie nail polish at $ 3, I kid you not, do you know this stuff goes for like $ 7 – 8 in retail?
I also saw Opi nail polish here also, if you prefer. And, unlike some other nail supply stores, this place carried fresh nail polish that didn’t look like it was sitting there for years, where the oils seperate from the polish. I met the store owner who was nice, he runs it with his wife. Just a precaution, the place is a bit disorganized but the good stuff is in the main aisle. Oh, and you can buy retail here without having to show a cosmetic license, anyone can walk in and buy stuff! Happy hunting, girlie girls.
