Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint

This is my first time here and I am completely in love! I’m a big fan from of spicy foods so naturally I added fresh cut japs, I couldn’t be happier with the way my pizza turned out.
The service is fast but not rushed and they clearly care about customer care. I will, without a doubt, be returning and introducing my friends to this place. I already know what pizza I’m going to create my next visit.
I have them four stars only because I wanna try them a few times before I know they are worthy of five stars. With the way my food came out and how satisfied I am I’m sure it won’t be long before I add that star.

I am obsessed with Maddios! I typically make my own creation but I am never disappointed by the quality of the ingredients or the customer service. The workers there are always super friendly, helpful, and smiling. I always go with wheat crust and all but once they had some prepped and ready to go. It’s a quick, delicious, and healthy go-​to dinner.

Visiting Tally and my pizza saavy-​niece said this is the only place to go– and was she ever right! Ordered 2 take-​outs online on a Fri. nite 6:30 ish– prime time: 1^st a reg. (thin) crust and 2^nd Gluten Free (thin crust). Tomato basil sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, ground beef on reg. and on GF w/​carmalized onions, roasted garlic, mozzarella, pepperoni & sausage. Picked up
exactly when promised. The place was packed, but p/​u took no time!
This is fabulous pizza, espec. the Gluten Free– by far the best I’ve had EVER! Love that the pepperoni is sliced paper thin so you get the flavor but not overwhelming. Sauce is clean and flavorful, cheese again just enough but not layers & layers thick! The GF crust is barely distinguishable from a conventional crust– very unlike others I’ve had that were so chewy and tough that they felt & tasted plastic. This was flavorful, crisp but still tender and so much like a conventuonal crust that it seemed like it might have been a mistake, but it wasn’t!
The GF Crust only comes in 9″ size, but for me that was more than enough. The conventional 12″ pizza got 2 rave reviews as well! We will most definitely be back here, often!

This is my second review of Maddios. My first was positive. This one isn’t.
My wife and I visited today at 3:00 p.m. she ordered the pizzas while I got the plates and silver. The first 3 knives I pulled out of the bin had dried food particles on them. The first plate I pulled out had dried food particles on it. Disgusting. I had to imagine all of that stuff was germy too. My pizza came out quickly, My wifes didnt show up for another 15 minutes. The table deliverer apologized twice but she used 2 different excuses for the lateness of the second pizza. First she said they forgot to make it, secondly she said it took 8 minutes to cook. My wife said which was it? And to me, she laughed and said if they want to make excuses, at least be consistent. Anyway, her pizza eventually showed up after I had eaten mine Both pizzas were delicious. Lastly, I saw another customer unhappily cleaning her plate and silver at her table using a napkin. She wasn’t a happy camper either.
The waitress said it was a shift change problem. I say that is a management problem. And next time I go there, before I order a pizza, Im gonna go look at the silver and the plates and see if they look clean. If not, I will never go back.

This place ran out of chicken, but continued to «scrape» the bottom of the barrel, serving up some kind of congealed breading. Once served this in place of real chicken, I asked the staff for chicken and was told that «they were out». I ordered lunch at 12, how do you run out of chicken? The staff did correct the issue by refunding half my bill and giving a coupon for a future visit. Maddios did do the right thing in the end and I will come back in the future to give a proper review.

I absolutely love this place! I love the different options that they have and how easily you can customize your pizzas. The ingredients taste so FRESH. I went a little crazy and ordered a portobello pesto pizza and the chicken cappers fold which (which is basically a pizza folded). Both were amazing, and I will definitely go back to this joint. I also got a cannoli, which I could have done without just because I was so full by the end of the meal.

New to Tallahassee and have been wanting to try new restaurants. I ordered carry-​out today and it was great! When I went in to pick it up the atmosphere was really cool. I definitely want to eat in next time. The pizza was really good, but the chocolate chip cookie put it over the top for me. Seriously, the best cookie I’ve ever had! I was surprised that they didn’t have wings there but they do offer salad and bread sticks. I plan to try the bread sticks.

Meh… Truly nothing special. Food doesn’t seem especially fresh. Not bad. Just better options around.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking you can have as many toppings as you want; you get 3 free and the rest are 50 cents apiece! All in all, though, excellent pizza. Just enough crust to make it tasty and not so much that it’s super thick. Fresh ingredients, good portions. That said, service was a little slow in cleaning tables for people to sit, but that’s understandable as they were very busy.

Maddio’s is our go to place for pizza night. Really flavorful crust on the whole wheat, gluten free or regular and we like all the fresh toppings. Really wish they have Alfredo sauce as an option though. Service is mostly good even on busy nights, but double check your order if you’re doing takeout.

I’m only doing 4 stars because the guy gave me sausage-​chicken on accident instead grilled like I asked! Totally cool though because it tastes so good anyways. Came here with a friend for lunch and made our own pizza. Came out to 20 bucks but 10 bucks each for an XL pizza isn’t bad. We got a bbq/​tomatoes sauced pizza with mozzarella cheese. Added spinach, chicken, sausage, and pepperoni to it. THIS PIZZA IS TOO DANG GOOD. Their bbq sauce and marinara mix perfectly and the crust isn’t cooked just right. Make sure to get a side of marinara for your crust, promise you won’t regret it. Come here if your in the mood for a good local hangout and eat spot. Great for friend groups and the atmosphere is relaxing. GREAT music selection as well. Coming here again soon.

Love love love love love love this place! Yummy pizza. Always fresh and has GLUTEN-​FREE pizza. On top of that, the staff is educated about cross contamination and really makes sure that if you have celiacs then you’re taken care of.
Bummed to lose the GF desert though. But LOVE this place :) can NOT wait for the Appalachee location to open. :)

I’m in love with this place! They have the greatest pizza in the world (that I have experienced)! For all the individuals who need it, they have GLUTEN-​FREE dough!
There are sooo many toppings, I haven’t had the same pizza twice! As a cheese lover, I not only can get the traditional mozzarella, I can sprinkle it with feta, blue cheese, cheddar, goat cheese, and more! If you are a meat lover, you have many choices, including STEAK!
Do watch what you are adding up as you go, however, as some toppings cost extra, so ask before you choose!
If you don’t want to create your own, there are a lot of choices straight from the menu. On my first visit, I got the spicy Italian pizza, and it was DELICIOUS!
The music is completely groovy! It is mostly 70’s and 80’s, which suits this hippy just fine! Nothing like great music to help add to an experience!
If you want to enjoy Uncle Maddio’s great za in the privacy of your own home, ask them for a ‘Take and Bake’. They will do a half-​bake on the dough, pile it with your favorite toppings, and put it in a box with baking instructions right there on the top (8 – 10 minutes has been my experience). So no need to eat cold, already baked pizza if you don’t want to eat in!
There are salads available, and ‘breadstixs’, although I think the bread stix are pizza dough cut into triangles. Do not take my word for that, however, because I haven’t ordered any. I just see them through the looking glass!
Being in a shopping center, it isn’t the largest dining room in town, so I don’t recommend huge groups, although 10 or fewer should find no issue getting seated. They don’t serve Pepsi, so I could only give it a four-​star rating! Give us some choice here, Uncle!

Really good pizza. They have flavor combinations that are so unusual. The black and bleu is a great example of something totally unique and tasty. I would highly recommend giving them a try!

Couple friends and I came here to eat, and it was great. Food was delicious, and service was exceptional. Very friendly people, and our pizzas came pretty quickly, too.

I had a salad with tofu on it. The tofu was completely over spiced and seasoned. They barely gave me any toppings, and the dressing was straight out of a tub. The eggplant I got as a side was very oilly and greasy. They brought my salad first and forgot about the eggplant. I asked again and the server was not nice and said it would come and rolled her eyes. No apologies. I was excited to find another create your own pizza place after your pie closed, but I will never be back to this restaurant.

Soooooo good. Awesome concept. Delicious food. Try it! I doubt you will be disappointed.

Pizza, as always, is outstanding, but on what planet do you run out of pizza dough at 7:00 on a Saturday night? Somebody wasn’t doing their job!
And with 5 people making pizza, how can you look like the keystone cops while you’re doing it?

Huge variety of ingredients for both the pizzas and salads. 100 flavor Coke fountain and some homemade deserts add up to a very nice menu.
Staff was very friendly and the outdoor seating gives is perfect for the night time breeze.
