Smoothie King

Smoothies are overpriced (outside of Friday) and the bro heavy staff is rude as hell. They thought it was okay to stare and make jokes about my haircut with other employees as if I couldn’t hear them.

My favorite part about smoothies is there quick and easy. I make it a ritual to go to Smoothie King every Friday because you can’t beat the $ 5 deal on any 32oz smoothie. I usually go through the drive thru and it’s made and sever within a few minutes, which is a huge plus if you are in a big hurry to get to work, class, or wherever you need to be. They have a variety of flavored for each individual pallet so don’t stress over not finding anything. Try it out for yourself on Friday and you will want to go back over and over again! I’ve been here three times. Each time, I’ve placed the identical order, to wit: 1 (One) Acai Adventure (medium), and 1 (One) Caribbean Way (medium). I’m sure there are other great options, but these two are really good, so I’m not quite ready to migrate towards the others just yet. (I always went with the Acai Adventure, and my oldest daughter went with the Caribbean Way.
These two smoothies get you close to 16 bucks. That’s real money for a smoothie. They are pricier than other local options.
Nonetheless, they ARE good. Good enough to pass Tropical Smoothie on the way to getting one. (I still like Tropical Smoothie — that wasn’t a slight. if anything, it was a commendation on Tropical Smoothie for being reasonably priced for their quality product).
Anyway — I’ve only been through the drive-​through, but peering through the order window, it looks like the folks here are into the whole neatness/​tidiness motif.

A smoothie joint is not in the same category of fine dining or even a standard restaurant. But compared to similar places in town, it’s got a lot going for it, so I’m giving it 4 stars.
— Super fast drive thru. I stop here once or twice a week on the way to work and even with a few cars ahead of me, the total wait is never more than 4 or 5 minutes. If it’s just me in line, I am usually in and out in 2 minutes.
— Good variety of ingredients and combinations, including vegan options. The Greek Yogurt blends are nice and tart. Favorites: Vegan Mango Kale, Green Tea Tango (Matcha Green Tea, Choice of One Fruit, Vanilla Frozen Yogurt, Vanilla Protein Blend, Turbinado, Soy Protein) and Island Impact (Pineapple, Mango Sorbet, Mango Juice Blend, Papaya Juice Blend, Vanilla Protein Blend)
You can ask to make it «skinny» which means not adding any turbinado (sugar).
Calorie counts are right on the menu.
