Yay! I caved in and finally made the trek down south to Red Snapper. And it’s definitely worth the trip. There’s always something fascinating about discovering great food in a place that doesn’t pride itself on appearance. Sometimes all you need are friendly faces and above average cuisine. Red Snapper epitomizes this concept. The Phở: with a few varieties on the menu, we landed on a traditional mix of sliced beef and brisket.(Listed separately on the menu, but they will happily accommodate for a $ 2 charge). Fortunately, the meat was cooked perfectly. Tender as could be until the very last bite toward the bottom of the bowl. I also quite enjoyed the addition of thinly sliced onions in the broth. It added excellent flavor to the dish. As far as the broth itself goes, compared to the remainder of Tallahassee restaurants serving phở, Red Snapper has one of the better broths. Big shout out to Cecil S. for leading us to phở enlightenment! I’m looking forward to many more meals here.

Clean, cozy restaurant with fresh seafood and a Vietnamese menu. Haven’t tried the Phở but saw a friend with a big bowl and immediately knew I would order that the next time around. Customer service is wonderful and food comes out fast. Excellent place to bring the whole family. Menu is huge so there’s something for everyone on it. Will definitely be back!

A vegan/vegetarian friendly. Just like any good Vietnamese restaurant there are vegan versions of their bahn mi, phở, and summer rolls. I had the tofu phở, summer rolls and sampled the gooey cake. The soup gets a 4.5÷5, broth so good you’ll question if it’s actually vegan. Could use a few more veggies. Summer rolls 3.75÷5, a little sloppily rolled. Peanut sauce 5/5, amazing. Gooey cake 10/5, hot damn. The owner came out of the back to see us and welcome us to her restaurant. Very nice lady.

Worth the visit. This place is a Vietnamese joint firstly, with the wrappings of a seafood restaurant. This is precisely why we came. Three of us ordered the large Phở, the grouper sandwich, and a pâté Banh Mi. The accompaniments to the phở were meager, but when I asked for extra fresh jalapeño it was cheerfully brought. The broth was quite good and I enjoyed it very much. Easily part of the«best Phở in TLH» circle shared with two others. Counter service with mostly booth seating and two four-top tables. Menu items depicted in backlit photographs as was commonly found in quainter times. I’m looking forward to my return trips. Found this gem through Unilocal.

Best beef broth phở in Tallahassee, lots of other items but I’m here for the Vietnamese food. Order from the counter and take a seat, the price and the taste cant be beat. You’ll leave here with a smile on your face, tell the nice lady that you like her place. PS, try her banh-mi sandwich, it is so good.

This review is just for their Asian food. We came in during the later hours of this restaurant so maybe that is why we had bad service, but the service was non-existant. It was ordering at the counter which we are find with, but we had to ask for water more than once and had to go up to the counter and wait to get it refilled. We had standard sesame chicken which was soggy and so overly salty. The other thing we had were Vietnamese fried noodles which were again so overly salty. I don’t think we will be back which is sad because Vietnamese food is one of my favorites. Their seafood looked much better.

We had beef phở amd the pork Vietnamese po boy. Really good poboy and good size(6+ inches). It was my first time eating Phở so mot sure what to expect. It was mild and I was in the mood for soup so it hit the spot. Will be back to try the seafood side of menu and for another iced coffee. Super nice people. You prder at the counter but still recieve great service at the table and for entire meal.
