Great place to go with your friends to plan matching Halloween costumes or get ideas for year-round costume parties! The owner and employees are super fun and friendly, and very knowledgeable about all of the products offered. That being said, it gets super crowded around Halloween(what costume shop doesn’t?) and the bag policy can be inconvenient if you don’t have a pocket to put your cash or card in.

This place is horrible. They act like everyone is stealing all the time. They follow everyone around making shitty underhanded comments they dont think theyre costumers can here

Come here to try costumes on and/or to check out the selection. But your best bet it to purchase online. The prices are ridiculous high. Unless you are getting a super lame outfit like a witch or rabbit. And make sure you check about the hours before you come because there is limited parking and usually crowded. I assume they have had issues with theft because there is a bag policy so women, make sure you have pockets.

This place is amazing. I always go in hoping to find one specific thing, and come away with that and lots of other things, too. Great selection, and really, really good prices. I have always had great experiences with their staff, too; they have always given great suggestions and been helpful in finding things.

If you’re really in a costume pinch, then this is a great place because they have a lot of stuff to make thousands of different costumes. However, I rarely feel comfortable being there, especially around Halloween. Theft must be a problem there because they watch you like a hawk everywhere you go. I swear, during Halloween they have one to two employees in every aisle, who each ask you if you need help. NO, IMJUSTBROWSING! And they have the bag policy– you can’t take your bag inside. Makes sense, but they won’t even let you check it at the front, which was insanely problematic the first time I went– I rode my bike and didn’t know what to do with my bag.

It’s expensive, and usually crowded, and they have this policy that is really kind of irritating — all bags have to be left in your car because of thieving students, apparently(they wouldn’t even let me carry in a wallet-sized clutch). That said, the place is rather magical and fun. It’s stuffed wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling with costumes and favors and tricks and treasures. It’s an ideas place. It’s a place where you can wander over from next-door Starbucks and just peruse the aisles and collect ideas for your next pirate, ninja, or Oktoberfest costume, or hatch a plan for an Alice-in-Wonderland birthday party, or a futuristic space disco, or pick up small gag gifts to present randomly to friends that say, «hey, I saw this non-sequitur and thought of you.» Buying online is cheaper, but for me it’s just not as fun.(Plus, let’s be realistic here, you can always go and see what you like and THEN buy it online IF you can find it… costumes are way too much a risk to buy without having seen them in person first.)

Places was really expensive. I’d rather buy offline.
