Appears their Veterans discount policy has changed, as I was denied mine this date. I was told a DD214 is not acceptable as proof of service, except on Veterans Day. They only accept a driver’s license with a «V» code, or a «Veterans Card»?. I explained/​showed my license did not expire for another 3 years, and that a DD 214 was required to get the veterans notation on a license. It’s a lowe’s supply store. They have a bunch of stuff I need all the time. Wood, plastic, metal, electrical, plumbing, and some a/​c stuff. On this trip they didn’t have what I needed. Who the hell sells FRP panels and doesn’t carry any trim. Absolutely in heard of at least to me. This store is like all of the other one. You know if you have seen one you have seen them all.

I have been going to this Lowes for many years. I bought a 80 gallon Kobalt Compressor there that got worse to the point it was faulty, and they honored taking it back due to it being faulty even though I didn’t have a receipt. This was a year after I bought it. They have a great selection of nuts, bolts, and other fasteners that Home Depot doesn’t even have. Due to being prior military I get 10% off which comes in handy. I went to Home Depot with a friend the other day and they only gave 10% off part of the purchase, Lowes always gives me 10% off the whole purchase. Staff is always been very friendly knowledgeable and willing to help me anytime. I could not say good enough things about Lowes not to mention they have sales all the time and you can get good deals on things. Lowes for life.

The service was completely atrocious. I’ve been there several times regarding installing floors, and every time I was treated like I was stupid (presumably because I’m female) and they kept trying to rip me off with all sorts of added fees they couldn’t tell me what were for when I asked. After I already made the purchase (and that happened only bc they offered to give me a good discount, hence the 2 stars instead of 1), they miscalculated the amount if materials needed and insisted in refunding my order to recharge me, but no one in the entire store knew how to refund only part of an order etc. so I waited for 30 minutes at the register watching 4 employees scrambling and complaining about their own system to me, which didn’t amuse me one bit. Any time something had to be changed on a computer, like pricing based on a different style of hardwood, I had to wait 30+ min. The employees had no regard for my time as a customer, which is really important to me, and I’d guess most people shopping, and I never take lightly being given false information. Honestly, I don’t think they were intentionally trying to overcharge me constantly and lying to make the sale, but rather they are just totally incompetent.
