I’ve come to Little India for years now — generally to buy loose tea or one of the many chutneys stocked here. There’s way more than chutney and tea. I’m largely ignorant of the vast diversity of Indian cuisine, but I suspect that the Indian diaspora of Tallahassee is not — and as such, I suspect they come here for key ingredients unavailable elsewhere. I do know there is a much newer Indian market down the road, but I’m barely able to determine what I want beyond Tea and Chutney here — so comparing the two would be foolhardy. I view this market much as I do Lynn’s Asian for the stereotypically oriental foodstuffs. I see the frozen bins, the coolers, the produce and the pantry items somewhat similarly arranged. I’m all about frequenting one of our four Indian restaurants in town, but I’ve never prepared Indian food(other than the times when I do use a nawabi meat masala powder on certain barbequed meats — but that’s neither here nor there). For those of you that already know the virtues of Little India, my pathetic review is of little value — but for the rest of just now getting your feet wet in the vast ocean that is Indian cuisine — then y’all c’mon down to Li’l India’s emporium of goodness!

This is a grocery store gem that hardly anyone knows about in tallahassee! They have practically everything you need for any indian/middle eastern dish and exotic spices at a great price for any other dish you have planned! The owner is very nice and willing to give you suggestions if you find yourself confused or in need of suggestions! This place is definitely worth the trip
