My experience at THIS Chipotle(the one closest to my house) made me realize how good Chipotle is — and strives to be. the folks at this one bring their A-game to work each time I’ve come. If the product here is awesome, and the service matches up to it, it’s clearly a winning combination. The staff here is friendly and they operate seamlessly from Right(place your order) to Left(pay for your order). Music is just the right volume, a smidge above the din of the dining room conversation. One particular image stands out to me. The guy behind the counter working a 12″ chef’s knife confidently and properly. Frankly, I’ve NEVER seen anyone behind the counter of a fast-casual place work a Chef’s knife properly. This guy was straight outta the training videos for Global /Wusthof knives. Mesmerizing to see the locomotive action of the blade. But, I digress… I’m not a fan of the«barbacoa» yet I respect it. I do enjoy the chicken — and so I’m all about that. My standard is the bowl(brown rice/cilantro, both red and black beans) with Pico, the tomatillo red chili hot salsa and lettuce. One last note: THIS Chipotle compels me to return to the Tennessee St. Chipotle to give them another shot. In retrospect, I realize that while my experience was 100% true, the actions of one employee should not take down an empire.(‘course, this IS a teachable moment for leaders of empires…).

Food is consistent at this location. Staff is kind, never really see the same people working though. Lines are insane at lunch — but that’s any Chipotle! They’re generous scoopers here around 3:30ish. Oh, guac is extra

If Chipotle ruled the world it would either be a very good thing or a very bad thing. Based on this recent experience, I was not impressed by the service. Usually Chipotle is packed during lunch and sometimes during dinner, but then again even if you whisper«Chipotle» next to anyone throughout the state someone is craving their food. No greeting was given what so ever and the line was not even long to feel rushed to order, but for some reason when I asked to have my sauce on the side one of the ladies on the food bar placed a lot of hot sauce on my meal. Even though that was not the highlight of my experience, I did ask the cashier if I did not like my burrito bowl may I replace it with another and she said«yes» with no hesitation and asked how my day was going. It always feels good to have somewhat at least care about you in any shape or form. Nice save. The restaurant was clean and the selection of Tabasco is very good of course. If you haven’t tried the«Tabasco Chipotle» you are missing out on a little kick in your food. Go ahead and try it for yourself! Also if you are searching not to pay extra for Guacamole just ask for a Veggie Burrito Bowl and you can get as much Guac as you want. Now you know the secret. I am not sure if I will be back to this location, but if the Tennessee location is full, I might reconsider. Always and Forever« Unilocaling»

Went in for a simple burrito and was greeted with awful customer service. Won’t eat here again.

This Chipotle is in a good location, far from the university, which allows normal Tallahassee citizens to enjoy it. The restaurant is clean and has a good selection of fountain drinks(that you fill yourself). Service is friendly and, so far, accurate. Food tastes yummy and is made with care.

Very nice airy cool atmosphere. Mexican tacos, burritos and salad bowls with your choice of red beans, black beans, salsa onions, peppers, it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Let’s not forget the sour cream and guacamole is orgasmic. The staff is extremely friendly and the tacos were the best i ever had at this chain establishment. I forgot to mention the rice, brown or jasmine rice. The line was short and the music was good. You know the drill, its one of my favorite spots to stop and get a bite to eat. They also make some of the best guacamole on the planet.

It’s just like every other chipotle for the most part, although the staff here do seem to be extra inefficient for some reason(asking the same question repeatedly, moving really slowly, etc). I feel like the corporation has gone through a lot of trouble trying to come up with a foolproof system for getting a burrito into my mouth, so I’m having a hard time understanding how one can do it poorly. Anyway, I like the food — I just wish they weren’t getting skimpier on the portion sizes every time I go.

I *dislike* this Chipotle. I usually place my order online to avoid any mix ups. Last 2 times my order has been completely wrong. Which is weird since an online order details what you want exactly. Last time I got the wrong kind of rice, black beans instead of pinto, the wrong kind of meat, and the meat was cold. They also forgot my tortilla and my cilantro *sniff* I could not check all of this when I picked up, but if you can check your order before you leave that would be best! :)

My first trip to chipotle was at this location. I liked every minute of my trip! The employees were very polite and they were very helpful. I ordered a steak burrito and it was so good! The atmosphere was very welcoming and is great for kids! When I come back to eat Chipotle it will be here.

There is never a time when the line doesn’t stretch to the door, regardless of time of day. This is because there are no more than 3 people(including the cashier) ever working the line. Employees can often be seen in the kitchen area talking and or joking while a long line extends, and it is almost always the same employees doing this. Some item(chicken, rice, beans, fajitas etc) is always missing because they’re being cooked and thus any customer who wants them has to wait. The cashiers will often stop ringing people up to go and clean barely soiled tables or answer a phone call, despite the line extending outside of their store. Portions for meat and guacamole are often underserved in order to save the remaining item for other customers, rather than proper planning before the item needs to be cooked. All in all the food is good when it is available, but the staff desperately needs retraining.

So mad at this chipotle. Ordered online and when I got home from picking up me and my friends bowl, it was only half full compared to it being very full at other chipotles and the amount of guacamole was so small there was almost none. Called to complain and they offered us two new bowls for free which was nice. They took our orders but when I went to pick them up my friend looked at her bowl there and it was missing half the things she asked for and when told them, they only gave us one side of each of the things they forgot to put on her bowl and the sides were only half full which was absolutely ridiculous because again at other chipotles, they atleast fill the sides to the top of the container Never going back to this chipotle again

Wow okay so I am a pretty regular Chipotle customer but I live in Orlando so this was my first visit to this location and has it been my first visit ever… I probably would’ve never bothered with Chipotle again. First off they were S.L.O.W!!! Seriously, so ridiculously slow. At first i thought maybe it was the customers who were just ordering slowly… i mean i suppose theres still some people left in the world that haven’t experience the create your own burrito assembly line set up so I can be patient but after watching the workers i realized it had nothing to do with the speed of the customers ordering, the employees were just lazy and slow. Maybe Im spoiled by my home location which almost goes too fast for me to realize what I even told them to put in my burrito but i mean come on… its a burrito line… giddy up! Once I was finally at the front of the line and started ordering they informed me it would be a 10 minute wait for guacamole…10 minutes!?! You have like 10 ingredients total! It is a lunch rush! who is running this place that they don’t have more guacamole prepped or at least anticipate how fast it is being used and start prepping some more? Not a good experience at all.

Dear Chipotle, I’ve created a list of 3 things I would want if I was deserted on an island. They are, in no particular order, the following: 1. My iPad with Netflix and Hulu. 2. Kate Upton 3. A fully stocked and staffed Chipotle with wifi, AC, a really nice hammock, and a new company policy that says it’s ok if I sleep in the hammock inside the store at night. Occasionally Kate Upton gets swapped out with a Starbucks that can make upside down venti skinny caramel macchiatos like nobodies business, but I digress. And, yes, I completely understand that the logistics of building, staffing, and operating a chipotle on a deserted island with wifi isn’t exactly what we call in the business sane or feasible. And I have a feeling that Kate might not exactly be overjoyed with her new living situation, but those are just small details. The point I’m trying to make is, I could spend my days on a beach reading and eating chipotle for the rest of my life and be perfectly content. My usual go to order is the burrito bowl with double chicken, white rice, black and pinto beans, the fajita veggies, corn salsa, cheese, and sour cream. I love eating there. Occasionally I’ll mix it up and get a burrito with chips on the side, or a salad if I’m trying to do the low carb thing to lose some weight but we both know I’m just going to go home and destroy a box of dark chocolate chewy granola bars so why bother. The chips are usually good and the burrito could feed that Village that Sally Struthers lives in. Sometimes I will get the steak instead of the chicken and it really does the job. Thinking about it is making me salivate as I type this. In closing, please get in touch with me regarding opening a store on the Cook Islands. And also if you could contact Kate’s people to see if she is interested, I would be in your debt. Part of the no contact restraining order prevents me from asking Kate if she’d like to be a part of this. Worst case, if we could just work on the whole hammock in the store thing, that would be ok I guess. Sincerely, William B.

I have no idea what all the hype is about. I finally got to try this place and I was not impressed. The chicken was overcooked, no spices, not good at all. They put minimal amounts of the toppings on my soft tacos. I was surprised they didn’t give the chips out too. I think it is extremely overpriced for what you get. This specific location, the seating is odd. The table we chose to sit at, it had stools that you couldn’t move, the one I was seated at was so far away from the table that I had to find somewhere else to sit.

I’m going to have to disagree with the other reviewers. Chipotle is far better than Moe’s or Qdoba and here’s why: 1. Chipotle ingredients are completely fresh made 100% in house(salsas, guac, meats, beans and rice). Even there veggies are cut up in house. 2. Chips are WAY superior! They are made fresh in house unlike the other chains 3. You get more food in your bowl! Overall the prices are a bit high, I will give that BUT it’s worth the price, you get what you pay for. I am only giving this chipotle 4 stars because of the customer service is a little lacking but the food did not disappoint as always!

Warning to would-be Chipotle eaters: This is located at college student ground-zero, very VERY near the Florida State campus and thus during my visit(and likely yours) Chipotle was inundated with a level of college kids high even for Tallahassee. Prices are very reasonable, so I can’t blame them. I’d estimate that for most of the main menu items(burritos, nachos, etc.) you will be in the $ 7.00 ballpark. As for the food, this Chipotle is as good as any other. Like Moe’s and Qdobe Chipotle is a member of that genre of restaurants one might call«assembly-line ‘Mexican.’» The classification Mexican is used very loosely here. They advertise that they use natural ingredients — hormone-free chicken and so-on. That may be a big plus for you or you may not care. Favorite menu items for me include the chicken burritos and chicken nachos. Unlike Moe’s and Qdobe, to the best of my knowledge chips do not come with any of the main menu offerings, but can be purchased for somewhere around $ 1.00-$ 2.00 and come in a little brown paper bag. The chips here are not as good as those of the other two chains, so it’s no great loss. Coke products are served and they seem to keep Chipotle flavored Tabasco in all the restaurants, which was good enough for this Tabasco-hater to buy a bottle next time I went to the grocery store. In summary, Qdobe is far and above my favorite chain that serves food in this style. That’s not to say that Chipotle is no good, and in Tallahassee the chains are far enough part that Chipotle is worth visiting just because you are on the west side of town(though there is one on Appalachee too). I can’t decide if Moe’s or Chipotle is my «second-favorite» but in that contest Chipotle might well take the advantage on price alone.

I hate to disagree with Rob, my all time favorite Unilocaler in the whole wide world but my food was great and I even had leftovers! I had a burrito bowl with lime/cilantro rice, pinto beans, well seasoned beef, sour cream, corn salsa, medium sauce, lettuce, Cheese. Yum! Discovered chipolte flavored Tabasco. Very nice way to spice things up. Can’t wait to go again!
