Went to Cherry Blow Dry Bar to get my hair done for my anniversary. When I walked in, the place was completely empty! Even though it was the middle of the day, still I should have known that it was a red flag. A lovely younger woman approached me at the front desk and told me that my stylist would be out soon. The receptionist was very up together and I thought that it was be a sign of good things to come. NOTTHECASE! When my «stylist» walked out, a middle aged, tattoo’d crack head walked towards me. I thought it was a joke and that she was just stoping in the use their bathroom, instead she told me to have a seat and she began discussing what I would like. I was in shock that someone who looked like they belonged at a gas station begging for change would be blowing out my hair at the«uppity» salon I thought I was at. I explained to her that I wanted my hair blown out, big and bounty. She preceded to tell me that it would hold better if she used a curling iron instead. I cautiously said ok and she began to apply haphazard curls throughout my head and spray infinite amounts of hairspray. I thought I was getting a BLOWDRY at a BLOW-DRYBAR. She never washed it, blow dried it or even bothered to ask if I wanted hairspray for that matter. When I left, I was stuck with little Bo-peep curls, a crunchy, teased crown and a good amount of disgust. The only thing I remember her talking about throughout the whole experience was how much she wanted chicken wings for dinner. AVOID. I give it 2 stars cause the receptionist was pretty and complimented my outfit.

I came here last month and it was wonderful, but I’ve been calling to make an appointment without answer and I drove by and I didn’t see anyone inside. Did this place close?

Stopped by this place when I was visiting my husband’s family over Christmas. Enjoyed everything about it! I believe my stylist was Rachel. She was very pleasant. She was GREAT using just a blowdryer and no flat iron. I never knew you could get such body and shape without the iron. I will definitely be back to see you all when I am in town again next month!

I needed my hair washed and blown dry and my salon was closed on Monday so I thought I would try it out. I like to shop at Whole Foods next door so it was very convenient. The gal on the phone, Taryn, was very polite and explained to me about the specialized service they offer. It is a «walk in» type of salon so even though I made an appointment, there was a chance I wouldn’t be served immediately. Fortunately they had several people working and they were ready for me immediately. A detox for the hair was used, shampoo and conditioner.(I would have preferred a little longer shampoo massage on my head.) My hair is very thick and is worse than a rug to dry so it took her a little longer than anticipated. She was very competent, congenial and polite. She did not pull my hair one bit! Next time I will have her flat iron it, though as it poofed out quite a bit later that day. I even dozed off a few times while she was drying my hair. As far as the products she used, I can’t tell much of a difference than what I normally use. Cost was $ 35 plus tip.
