We’ve had their Service Agreement checkups for five years running now. I have not experienced anything remotely similar to these other ‘reviews’, in any way, shape, fashion or form.
Each time it has been a tech we have seen in the past and their work as well as their approaches have been very professional.
We have had minor repairs; each time the quote was explained to us in detail. As a medical professional, I appreciate that.
I do understand that while a part may only be $X.00, shutting the system down, replacing said part and most likely recharging the system… means I am paying more than $X.00.
We’ve also been able to begin saving for a new system BECAUSE they told us we would likely need one in eight to ten years. This year, they report with our maintenance up-​to-​date, we will likely not need a new one for another six to eight. [Ours is actually 13 years old, but we could save more monthly with a newer model.]
I have a mechanic who works in the same way: «You need THIS now, and begin to save some as you will need ‘that’ in about _​_​_​months or a year.» I like that.
Friends make fun, but, I am the kind of person that drives the car to pieces rather than getting taken by trading my car into the dealer.
I hope this helps someone. I’ll try to remember to post about my mechanic too.

We purchased an annual service agreement that gave us two «free» check ups. Both times the free consultation became an expensive repair. A quoted price of $ 145 for a $ 15 part. Also a heavy push for entire new system.
We will not be renewing our service agreement.
