Always an enjoyable experience. The staff members are all enthusiastic and personable. The desserts are really yummy. We have been several times and will continue to visit when we want a sweet treat.

When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was looking for a nice bakery. All the ones I had tried in Tallahassee were not to par. I stumbled upon this place based on Unilocal reviews. I was not impressed. At all. The pieces were extremely dry and left much to be desired. Because of the vast selection(compared to other bakeries) i decided to give this place another shot. I’m so glad I did. I’ve been back about half a dozen times. Everything has been delicious ever since the first visit. There was this apple pie/cake piece that was interestingly delicious. I didn’t like the black forest.

Semi decent pastries-the croissants are flaky but the eclairs didn’t quench my ‘pâté a choux’ craving. Slightly overpriced sandwiches. The coffee is really not very good at all. The one cake that I have tried was just ok-a little dry but the fondant was pretty good. I may give them another try sometime when I’m out that way but the attitude of employees and patrons is a little too snotty for me.

Overall, a beautiful shop with tasty food, delicious drinks, and nice people. As I have now learned, diamonds are not a girl’s best friend, it is a macaroon from Au Peche Mignon! Since macaroons are my girlfriend’s absolutely favorite kind of cookie, I decided it would brighten her day to pick up a few for her after a busy and difficult week of work and classes. The staff were so helpful and helped me to pick out the right ones, while I couldn’t help but wander around and gaze with envy at the rest of their pastries. Even though I only popped in quickly for a particular item, it seems like a nice café to sit in and enjoy a book with an espresso in hand.

This Bakery/coffeeshop is a hidden gem in Tallahassee. I’ve yet to try alot of the goodies(theyve got a wide selection) but their chocolate croissant, guava/cheese pastries are a must! The coffee is on point, I definitely recommend this place.

I’m glad this bakery is close to me. It’s probably as good as it gets in this town when it comes to bakeries. I’m not a dessert person but don’t mind hitting up a bakery from time to time. I’ve come here a few times and will gladly return as a satisfied customer. I tried the savory croissant on my first visit, which was decent. Then I took a friend here on the second visit. She was overjoyed b/c she said it was hard to find places like this in Tallahassee. I had to agree with her. I thought the store was cute and liked the ambiance. Too bad it’s in a strip mall though. I ordered a fruity chocolate moose and a decaf latte. My friend got a slice of chocolate cheese cake and coffee. My dessert was light and delicious. I tried my friend’s chocolate cheese cake, it was very tasty too. The latte was on point. Service was friendly. I saw macarons there but was skeptical. They appeared to be amateurish looking, bigger than regular macarons, and not very enticing. I’ve had macarons at countless places including Laduree in NYC. So I’m picky when it comes to macarons. Guess I’d rather skip the ones here. The wide variety of cake though all looks awesome to me. Will deff come back for those!

This review is way overdue. I think it’s because I wanted to keep it a secret for the longest time. Shhh, I don’t know what heaven is like but this would be my idea of the perfect heaven. I just don’t know if I’ll go to heaven after sampling all their sinful desserts that are to die for! My favorite– what’s my fave? Everything! But wait, as much as I love this place, I try to avoid going there because I’ll gain 20 lbs just by looking at their yummyliciousness(is that even a word?) creations. I’m a chocolate fan but I totally ignore them because there’s so much more than bonbons to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings! After I make my selection(s), which is usually(here we go) — chocolate croissant, guava pastry, chocolate mousse, and finally, a healthy choice, a fruit(inside a chocolate) cup! Did I say that I’m ignoring their bonbons? Well, considering that they’re also chocolatiers, there’s really no way to avoid the food for the gods no matter how hard I try. Chocolate rules! Seriously, if you’re looking for the best(and beautiful) cakes, pastries, cookies, chocolates and other lip-smacking dessert goodness, GO as in right now! By the way, the owners and the servers are the nicest people, and that’s just the icing on the cake! Oh, wait, they also serve lunch and they have the most crispy and crunchy croissants(the real French croissant), and all sorts of breads, so there! Bön appetit! Wow! I even learned how to speak French!

I stop here every saturday after my farmers market stop in market square. I thought that the eclairs were a little dry but there is an amazing chciken sandwich here that is to die for. Also they have the best iced coffee

This place is perfection! The food is delicious, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The desserts are beyond description. They are absolutely beautiful, and they taste as good as they look! Even their espresso is good!

It’s ok! I ordered a praline tart at first! But it’s real sweet for me, I have to order a salty quiche and water to balance! At last, It made me so full! But my friend tried Napoleon cake and she thought it’s good and typical!

The soups, the pastries, the sandwiches, the cheeses – I could go on for ages about this place. Try the potato and leek soup.

I don’t know how I haven’t written a review on this place because it was one of the first shops I went to in Tallahassee on my quest for macarons, and honestly, I was so underwhelmed and disappointed that I would be very hesitant to come back(specifically for the macarons). I found this spot because everyone raves about how great their macarons are. «They’re the best I’ve ever had!» «So delicious! You must go!» Well, sorry, everyone who raves about this place, but their macarons are subpar at best and not worth the pretty penny you’ll spend on them. Not only were they hard and almost inedible, but the flavors weren’t even that good. Now, they were pretty large, but when something is that underwhelming I just wanted to throw it out and be done with it. Their cakes and pastries looked pretty good, but so did the macarons and they were awful. I will go back and try some of the other items and update my review, but consider me unimpressed so far.

I really enjoy this place! I don’t frequent it often but when I do I’m never disappointed. I usually get the macaron cookies which are delightful. The last time I was there it happened to be savory pastry day and I got an onion jam, bacon, goat cheese croissant. I had them reheat it and it was very good. A little pricey but definitely worth it!

I love this store. Every time I come they have new chocolates and pastries. I wish I could try them all! Everything I’ve tried from here is absolutely delicious and perfect. You get greeted as soon as you come in: D Last time I came by the staff was working and happily singing/dancing to «I’m walking on sunshine» that is so sweet. It’s great to see that they love what they do. You can seat outside, and enjoy some of their great coffee while you have a slice of something amazing! IF you are going for the famous baguettes be there early! Because they run out pretty fast :(

Our vanilla lattes were good! The espresso beans had a bit of a fruity undertone which we are not huge fans of, but still it was better than Starbucks! ;$ The chocolate Cheesecake was very rich and moist!

Absolutely the best brioche I’ve had. Flakey crust and the bread is so soft and fluffy… it’s like having a cotton candy bread. I’ve never been to Paris but this is the best I’ve had in the states. We stop by here every time I visit to tally and make sure I don’t get here on Sunday or Monday when they are closed! Must try!

We tried coming here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was packed. Most of our classic favorites were sold out for the rest of the day, including the Black Forest Cake, the White Forest Cake and the Pear Pie. We were going to settle for a Tiramisu or small tart, but found neither of those available. We sadly left that day disappointed. But I’m not going to base my review off of that one poor experience and focus on the good I have had in the past and the good I hope to have in the future. They have knocked down the wall for what was next door before and moved right on in. This seems to have jump started a new era for them: a café. What was once the quaint little bakery has become a busy little café. However, when you first walk through the main doors, if you can close off your peripheral and focus on what is in front of you, you can almost imagine the small shop surrounding you with its beautiful aromas and displays. As noted above, my all time favorite cake is the Black Forest Cake. It is moist and light, but rich and sweet without being overly so. The rum cherries are littered throughout the whipped cream between layers. The perfect cake for any occasion, or for no occasion at all. Be sure to place in order to ensure they have them in stock. All available cakes should be on display in the glass display case. Coffees and drinks are also available for those eating their desserts in the store. There used to be only two or three tables available, but since the expansion, there is plenty of seating. I hope next time I’m back in town I’ll be more prepared for the weekend afternoon rush. PRE-ORDER!

Absolutely one of my new favorite stops in Tallahassee. I’ve never been to Paris, but this place feels like an Old World destination experience when compared to its in-town competitors. When you walk in the door to Au Peche Mignon you are greeted by a DAZZLING pastry case with all manner of delectable treats — most importantly, macaroons! These macaroons are so delicious and come in such a variety of flavors — lemon, birthday cake, lavender, blueberry, that every visit seems to offer a little variation. Au Peche Mignon also offers sandwiches and fresh baked loaves of bread to take home, which I haven’t had the pleasure of trying. Au Peche Mignon also offers some good coffee, including a café au lait, which, depending on who is working, will be prepared with more care and precision than anywhere else in town. Truly delicious when that happens! The dining room is nothing special, but is as functional as any coffee shop. Just a small bar and scattering of tables, plus one or two small tables outside on the sidewalk in front of this unassuming eatery located deep within the shopping plaza just off Timberlane. Still, the overall ambiance is one of sophistication — soft music, sophisticated pastries, and delicious coffees. Really, Tallahassee is lucky to have so many incredible coffee shops, but Au Peche Mignon is something special and different, and absolute worth a special trip now and then. But they are CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays, so keep that in mind.

The pâtisserie is as good as it’s going to get«hors de l’hexagone.» — I’ll stand by that remark, accepting that there are certainly master pastry chefs across the u.s. Who ply a similar artisanal craft. The humble croissant is my constant barometer for sizing up a store’s acumen, much like the basic pizza permits a gander into the crystal ball of more fancifully topped pies to come. Charming place here, persnickety even. I prefer picking up and taking away. The few times I stayed were pleasant yet some of the patrons fancied themselves in world cities for a moment, rather than appreciating TLH’s contribution in the form of a great pâtisserie for our honest and local appreciations. Le Pêche Mignon Is one of theamy reasons I love Tallahassee as much as i do. Merci!
