This is a one-​of-​a-​kind farmers market. I go whenever I can get away on a Wednesday. I’ve also joined the market’s CSA and got some of the most amazing peaches, greens, beets, local pasta, eggs, and apple cider! The market is both a place to shop and a destination. I’ve brought friends and family for the atmosphere and a great lunch.
My only wish is that this were closer to a metro station! I live in DC and tend to bike or bus over.

I go to this market every week for the excellent selection of local produce at VERY reasonable prices. It’s an awesome lunch destination too — you can’t beat the $ 2 tostadas loaded with guacamole and fresh salsa, and pupusas fresh off the griddle. They have a variety of community booths and activities where you can get your blood pressure screened, learn about nutrition, sample healthy foods and more. There are fun activities for all ages — you can watch a juggler, listen to jazz, and collaborate on the community chalk mural. This market truly has something for everyone!
