We’ve had really great experiences with Perennial nursery. The lay out of the grounds(and plant selection) is awesome. I especially appreciate the California Natives section. It’s extensive, and carries plenty of water saving varietals. Maybe most important is their helpful staff. I always love a place where the people whom work there are mellow, yet approachable. I’d say it’s worth a stop by even if you’re just doing the«Kings Beach tourist/visit» thing and are looking to kill a few hours. You may end up packing a leafy friend into your overstuffed vehicle on your way outta’ town :)

This place is a con operation and a total rip off — they should be closed down by the County and the business bureau. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. FIrst, they purposefully charged my card TWICE — when I pointed out the error, they argued with me and told me I had been credited for the first charge, which was a LIE. Then, even when they were aware of the overcharge, the refused to credit my account until I traveled all the way back with my bank statement and pointed out the double charge. Their plants are lame, over fed and over priced. When I explained that ½ their plants died after being carefully planted and water in an appropriate part of my deck, they blamed me and absolutely refused to give me my money back or replace the dead plants. This place is a JOKE — HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE, HORRIBLEPLANTS, DISHONESTANDDECEITFULEMPLOYEES — stay as far away from this rip-off job as you possibly can!

I enjoyed the drive up to Tahoe Vista to visit this nursery. I was not disappointed with the inventory the nursery has on hand. The personnel were a bit standoffish and not as apt to help unless you asked for their help. The variety of plants, gifts, books and yard supplies are of a high quality. Unfortunately so is the price. Some of the items in the nursery can be found at other nurseries at 30−40% less.
