This place is such a homey restaurant. The owners are very nice and the food is great. You can play pool or try your luck with pull tabs. Chicken fried steak here is the best.

This place has really unprofessional people working here. Hunter is a barback/door person who is very young and does not have good customer service/people skills. This place is a fun environment but they don’t know how to hire the staff and pick the right people to work at the establishment. This young man expects responsible patrons to do his job of watching other customers because he does not know how to do his job. I enjoyed going there but was really disappointed this last time.

My favorite place to go. Comfortable neighborhood bar with great food!!! Fun atmosphere at night too. Singing, dancing, barstool bingo. Staff is very welcoming, friendly and efficient.

The Westgate is a fun place. 2 pool tables, karaōke too. The weekend bartender is awesome. And they have a nice size patio for cocktails. The only downside is the bathrooms need ass gaskets(toilet liners).

Holly Crap! What a dump, this place was bad 15 years ago! Moved back to the neighborhood was hopping this place would be a local watering hole. The regulars smoking out side on the«patio» are almost as gross as the guy in the kitchen with the lit cig hanging out of his mouth!

The best neighborhood bar in all of tacoma. You want a great, inexpensive drink made by the best bartenders, served by the most awesome wait staff, you’re in the right place. Am I biased because its my own favorite place? Call it what tou want

i gotta say — kick ASS breakfasts made quick… SUPER nice servers and bartenders there… not sure it would be my fave place to frequent on weekend evenings, but for a comforting decent-priced sunday breakfast, it’s awesome. A+++++

Great place to get good old fashioned diner style food, always has some sort of special. Kitchen is open most of the day, it closes for a short time before the dinner meal, separate bar and dance floor area with a few pool tables

I’d give this dump –1 if possible. The drunken, obnoxious regulars get served ahead of you even if they show up way after the fact. The day side male bartender in the black vest, if he is still there, keeps count on your drinks even if its just one round, yet brings pitcher after pitcher or stronger to the table of loud and way beyond inebriated idiots that have been there half the day with no issues or discrepancy. He also went out of his way to be rude and let you know he didn’t want you there. I never did find out his name but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Dick or something similar. Hell of a way to attract new customers. I bet your tips are off the chart. This was day side and has happened twice when I went there with friends and family. Avoid this place unless you’re one of their secret squirrel members already.

Best dive bar in NorthTacoma. Might even be too busy to be called a dive. Nice strong drinks! Entertaining :)

Went here for breakfast [even though it was around 2PM — late night means sleeping in :-)] It felt weird going to a bar for breakfast, but the dining area had a homey feel to it. The booth seats definitely need to be re-upholstered(currently there is lots of duct tape on the furniture) and there were rolling desk chairs instead of regular chairs. I got some huge pancakes and drank lots of black coffee and my husband got an omelette with a side of SOS gravy. Everything was good — nothing was spectacular but everything was, well, good.
